The mover I hired was unable to complete the job after they confirmed. I was called immediately and told what was going on and they were working on a replacement company. "The night before they were to arrive at my new home, I was told I could no longer use my credit card for the final payment and I had to supply a cashiers check. Would not have been a big issue if I was given more notice as I do not have a physical bank within 3 or 4 hours of my new home. Movers were respectful and courteous with my furniture and moving around my children while packing the old house and setting up the rooms in the new house. Issues that stand out include: an entire drawer of cookware was not packed. Wedding gifts were lost in transit, they would not (not allowed) help set up/mount the TVs. I was required to pay for 2 of their largest moving trucks and after looking at how everything was packed...it could have fit into one truck. In regard to the missing items, due to the size of my house, it was going to cost an extra $100k to insure my belongings. A fee I was not prepared to fund and assumed was unnecessary since the move was a 24hour turnaround from packing to unpacking. Monetarily it was not worth the extra $$, because the lost items can be replaced - however if you are looking at this company, know that even with the shortest turnaround time - some of your items may still be missing when you go through the boxes. In regard to their worth in comparison to packing and moving yourself - it was completely hands off for me, and I was able to multitask on our final day which made everything run so much smoother. The movers listened to my concerns with protecting fragile items and worked relatively quickly."

"Anna was very kind and helpful in scheduling my appointment. Waren and his helper were very friendly and efficient. They moved 2 couches into a hard to get to space with ease. They even offered to go back to pick up a recliner that didn’t come in on time. They offer a military discount which I admire greatly. "We had a bad experience with movers when we originally moved to South Carolina from Mississippi. The movers we had hired for our originally move, came a day late, reeked of drugs and alcohol and even against my better judgment against using them, ended up putting a nick and scratch in every piece of furniture that we manage to own.
From the start of the experience with Sure Load Moving I felt things went off to a good start. Out of the five moving companies I had lined up to come by for an estimate, they was the 1 of 4 that showed up for the estimate. Out of those 4 companies, Sure Load Moving was the only company that was earlier then the scheduled meeting time.
Daniel the gentleman that walked through the home with us, was completely immersed in the details of our move and we did not feel brushed off like we we did with the other companies.
Out of those 4 companies, 3 sent us an estimate, again Sure Load Moving beat them to the punch. Ralph with Customer Service was great in getting all the details communicated between all parties and to the movers on move day. Sure Load Moving was about $200 higher than our highest bid, but I went with my gut and glad I did.
Our move was fairly small and when the movers arrived they went to work putting blankets over everything we owned. I thought it would take longer than it did to get the boxes and furniture all loaded in the truck, but the 3 Movers (Mike was the lead s name?), knocked it out with care and precision.
That Thursday (they picked up Tuesday), that arrived at our new place. This was a little more tricky, parking was on a bad one-way street and one mover had to stay with the truck while the other 2 unloaded. as expected this part of the move took longer, mostly because of the walk and stairs and people running,biking and skateboarding up and down the sidewalk.
When it was all unloaded, the guys went to work putting things together, asking us where certain items should go, etc. After about 5 hours total, they was sweeping and folding blankets getting ready for the trip back home.
I would definitely recommend Sure Load Moving. And am confident you will enjoy the experience as much as I did.
