"I got same day service for my washing machine repair. While they were a little late, he did call to let me know before the repair time window was over. That was greatly appreciated so I knew what was going on. The two techs who came got right to the problem. They gave me complete confidence in their expertise. A simple fix was done on my hose. No one tried to convince me that any additional repairs or parts were needed. They were professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable dealing with them. Another plus is that if I have any other problem within 30 days there will be no service charge for them to come back and if it's for a related problem requiring parts, the original service will be applied to the cost. In fact, the only charge I was responsible for was the amount quoted on the phone call when I set up the appointment. I was impressed."

I was told the replacement oven control board was ordered new, not a refurbished one but I did not get a satisfactory answer regarding warranty on the board. I was told it will 30 days but give them a call if something goes wrong. I was expecting something in writing on the receipt or separately. Makes me wonder if I got a new part or a factory refurbished one for the price of new."

"We have built in kitchen appliances that are 21 years old, and those sizes are not available anymore. That means we will need to repair them as long as possible or plan on installing a new cabinet as well. Nickel Appliance Repair called us not long after we posted the request on HomeAdvisor, and they gave us what they thought the problem was right over the phone. (We had already researched it, and we already knew what the problem was. We just didn't have the knowledge to fix it). Since that problem is the cheapest one to repair, we were pleased with their honesty. They scheduled the home visit within 3 days. When the technician arrived, he pulled the microwave oven out and quickly confirmed that what was wrong with it was what we had been told. He didn't have the part with him, but he was able to find it at the local hardware store. Voila! A quick trip to the store, and he had the microwave fixed within a few minutes. The charge was was less than the estimate had been. While taking the microwave out of the cabinet, the tech noticed that the control panel on our regular oven was also going bad. He suggested repairing that as well, because the parts are getting hard to find for ovens that are that old. He gave us a fair price for repairing that as well, and he even gave us a discount for repairing both appliances at once, even though he had to order the part for the oven and come back a second time to fix it. It was a pleasure working with a technician who knew what he was doing and got the repairs done quickly at a fair price. We would recommend Nickel Appliance Repair."

"My almost 30 year old Kenmore washing machine started making strange noises when agitating or spinning. I selected Speedway (Moses Moss) based on Angi recommendation. He came out and did an inspection of machine but at the time it was operating OK in all cycles. I paid an inspection fee and he told me to contact him if any further issue. The following weekend during the 2nd load, the washer drum no longer turned during spin cycle although water pumped out. I called Moses the following Monday. He came out later in the day, diagnosed problem and repaired the washer. I was very happy with his expertise and responsiveness and will definitely contact him in the future with any appliance issues."
