"We did a complete countertop of 68 sq ft, and backsplash using glass brick tiles and some materials of our own choosing behind the stove. All steps were punctual with a capital P. And courteous with a capital C. There was no hard sell, and all the team members were in sync. This was the fastest installation project we have ever undertaken. The materials were top notch. The backsplash installer wore booties the first day because it was drizzling. MS in sales did a great job keeping us informed and working on our behalf. If you're in the S. Jersey/Philadelphia area, you would make a big mistake not to consider KOL Marble & Granite. Their selection of grades of stone is outstanding. We are not affiliated with this company or family members associated with it in any way. Bob & Evelyn, Haddonfield, NJ"

"Good experience working with Expert Handyman. The quality of the installation work was excellent. They provided valuable advice in selecting product and fair pricing locations to purchase ourselves. Responsive for initial engagement and turned around a price quote quickly. Our job was scheduled sooner than expected, which was a positive for us. For us a signed contract, licensed contractor certification, and proof of insurance were important factors. All contract, certification, and insurance information was current and ultimately obtained. However the process of business administration and contracting was clunkier than expected and necessitated frequent communication on these points. With the initial engagement successfully completed, there is no hesitation to use Expert Handyman for future work as the work product was excellent."

"They did an outstanding job!! Very professional and friendly and they worked clean. They asked me questions about placement of the sink and faucets and then they double checked just to make sure it was done the way I had asked. I will definitely be hiring them again!!"

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Mount Ephraim, NJ

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
