He shows a particular concern for the overall health of the tree, and uses his skill as a certified Arborist to assess where the tree is in its life cycle, what particular stresses or diseases it may be presently subject to, and recommends a course of action which is best for the tree's continued health and survival. He also pays particular care to any wildlife which might be nesting in the tree at the time.
I would recommend Sal's company (S & H Tree Service) to anyone and everyone. I will call no other man for the job, and intend to use him exclusively from now on.

"Pedro's crew did an excellent job trimming our pear tree in the front yard. They were friendly and professional and willing to make sure we were satisfied with the results. I give a lot of credit for the worker up in the tree. He obviously knew what he was doing but still concerned for his safety. There was a problem in scheduling but it worked out."

"I am very pleased and even amazed at the transformation of my back yard. First, I must compliment Jesse, the landscape architect who designed my project. I had very specific "wants and needs" which he incorporated perfectly. The renderings and plans were excellent. The job supervisor, Leo, was very impressive. Even though he was overseeing quite a few other jobs, he never forgot any details or tweeks I wanted in my project. He was always very responsive. It took approximately 3 months to complete my project. I'm sure it would have taken other companies much longer as I saw happening when my neighbors had landscape work done at their homes. Many days there were 5-7 men on my job; they showed up promptly at 7 AM and worked very hard all day. They would also clean up the site at the end of each day. They were very experienced, as evidenced by the great work they did. I am a very particular person, so I closely watched the work being done. Santiago was often on-site and always checked the plans to be sure the job was being built as specified, He also expertly did much of the work himself. My backyard went from having very little useable or functional space to a place where I can easily entertain 50 or more people. When the job was done they did the final TLC, as Leo calls it, and they even washed my lower story windows and patio doors that were bordering the construction site. Final compliments to Jessica the office admin person and Richard the owner of the company. Unfortunately the photos were taken on a cloudy day and don't do the project justice."

"He quoted me for 3 days of work, during to complete the huge list of things that needed to be done.  With his crew of 4 guys (one of them his son), he completed all of the work promised, and a little more.  Each day he would arrive promptly at 8 with the entire crew, and they would work the entire day.  I watched the process as he worked from one part of the property to the other, basically razzing the dead stuff, trimming the trees , and cleaning up the mess.
I especially liked the pride that Mike and the other men had in their work.  You can tell that they enjoy what they do, and were proud of the results.  I was amazed at how much beauty was under some of these neglected trees of mine.
At the end, the trees look great and the fire hazard is gone.  
I am so grateful to have found him, and would recommend him to anyone needing quality tree work for a reasonable price, done in the time and money quoted.

"I visit my elderly mother a few times a year, and try to help her get chores taken care of while I'm visiting.  We decided that it was time to remove a tree that fallen a year ago, and also to do a general  yard clean-up.  Because I live on the East Coast, I had no leads or references for landscape companies.  Naturally, I turned to Angies List.  George was one of several companies I called, and I decided to use him because he was positive, reasonably priced, and could come out right away.  I was not disappointed.  His son and another worker arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, and worked tirelessly until the job was done.  They shaped bushes, removed a eucalytus tree, removed dead dried yard waste, swept, weeded.  They were punctual, hardworking, polite, followed instructions well, made good suggestions, and turned a neglected yard into a lovely outdoor garden.
