"I would give this company 10 stars if I could! My 120-year-old home needed new porch columns. They were cracking & sinking on one end. I did have a couple of contractors out. Their plans were either incredibly elaborate & not keeping with the home's design or more like "sand and paint" & it should better! I was frustrated worried they would collapse, doing great damage to my lovely home. Along came Mr Moffei who immediately said what he could do (exactly what was needed), the probable time frame (since columns needed to be ordered) and quoted a very reasonable price. Columns came in about a week. Old ones removed (and one DID crumble) and porch leveled. The paint and trim work had to wait another week due to weather & it was worth the wait. The job was efficient, the workers so pleasant and it looks magnificent. So good I have spent days scrubbing the porch furniture, pressure washing the porch floor and stone walls, shopping for new cushions & a few more plants. A+++++"

"Used AJ Perri in past satisfactorily but now... Furnace checkup rattling sound, tech said was due to inducer fan motor needs replacing (ball bearings). Signed agreement for $2,300, they were going to order a replacement, paid $1,175 deposit. Cancelled work before the tech left as we were going to have it done later - also looked up the cost of said motor on the manufacturer web site only $209! Billing department unavailable to have the "pending" charge removed from checking acct. Found cancellation form in paperwork, only includes mailing address with a 3 day only grace period (?). Unable to fax form as a fax # (on a different form only) just rings & rings. Had to scan and email form to general "info" address. Unable to get through to billing dept, never available. Given direct phone # for said dept which gives a recording "voice mailbox not set up" then disconnects. Homeowner fixed all rattling noises for $0 - was only loose screw inside fan motor mounting bracket. Not refunded yet."

He recommended removal of the screens to make the house look beautiful, and it was a great suggestion. We have original windows on the front, and they are 129 years old. The crew was thorough and gentle, and I was thrilled with the job. We cleaned the interior windows ourselves to stay within budget and simplify the prep, but Gem's crew did "in and out" for the kitchen skylight and five basement windows, as well as a few that the crew must have felt demanded their touch. I can't say enough for their good work and positive attitude, given that the weather was frigid, they were pulled to fill in for another crew, and I wanted all the screens to be labeled (I followed him and labeled them myself). I wish I had found them years ago, before selling the house, which sold in two days :-) And yes, they even honored an Angie's List coupon!"
