"Overall, we could not have asked for a better job to have been done. Shain and crew (2 other guys) did a phenomenal job. The back porch looks amazing. <br /> The floor of the porch was original wood to the house (1930s era) and had rotted. They replaced the wood and built out new walls and installed new screens. The attic ladder is original to the house, so they decided to try and salvage the ladder if they could, rather than replace it; suffice to say, they saved the ladder and ensured that it's firmly back in its tracks and more sturdy than before. They salvaged wood from the porch to do some repairs to flooring in the house. <br /> Each day they arrived on time - as a matter of fact, they called each day when they were en route. If they left during the course of the day, they always let us know when they'd be back. <br /> It's clear that they're a talented, hardworking group of guys. I'll definitely be calling them in the future for other odd jobs that need to be done, and I've recommended them to friends already. <br /> Do note, however, that even though the website states they accept credit cards, they in fact do not - cash or check only (which wasn't a problem for us, but could be for others needing/planning to pay by credit). <br /> Overall, we're very happy with the level of craftmanship and how quickly they got everything done. They gave us an estimate on a Friday, started work Monday morning, finished Wednesday afternoon. And they came in spot on on their estimate. <br /> <br />"

"The company was highly recommended and I am so glad I decided to call them. My first contact was with Randy, who came out, looked at my roof, provided details as to it's condition and gave me a detailed estimate. Within a couple of days, I received a call from Bob, who came out to do a walk through to determine what materials were needed to complete the job. Randy and Bob were very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and patient. I asked a lot of questions, debated about shingle colors and upgraded to architectural shingles two days before the start of the project. Bob maintained contact with me throughout the process and they began the job a few days earlier than scheduled. That was great because I wanted t get it done ASAP. Both days (project took 1 1/2 days to complete), the roofing crew arrived promptly at 7:30 a.m. and Bob came also to ensure everything was going well. When the work was complete, the lead roof man informed me they were finished and asked me to come look at it. I noticed the crew did an excellent job cleaning up the debris, nails, etc. Bob came shortly afterwards, inspected the roof, walked around with me and answered questions. Last night, Tuesday, 02-23-2016, my new roof was tested by the strong winds and rain, and I am happy to say NO LEAKS, NO PROBLEMS AND IT STILL LOOKS GREAT!!! MANY THANKS TO RANDY, BOB AND THE CREW !!!!! I plan to utilize House Works' services in the near future for other repairs and fix-up projects. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOUSE WORKS!!!!!"

"The project went perfectly! The contractors were on time and very professional. We had a little miscue and some contractors got double booked but it was no problem. Paul simply called his foreman and had him and one other pull off of another project and were there within the hour. The contractors were excellent and they cleaned up after themselves so it looked as if they were never there. <br /> I want to thank Paul for being so helpful on the front end. When we were looking at the hole in the ceiling he gave us two options: 1: we could repair the hole and simply respray that one spot, which he said may leave a and quot;spottyand quot; look due to the fresh paint over the old paint or 2: they could strip the popcorn, fix the ceiling, smooth it out and roll it. I never would have thought that we could do the latter on a 200 sq. ft. room and it add and lt;$100 to the overall cost. He actually provided his input and opinion which was well taken. <br /> Also, after we got the initial quote, HUD came back and said that we could actually hang the door ourselves. I called Paul and told him this, he said and quot;No problem, i'll get you a new quote over in just a momentand quot;.
