I had an inside leak when it rained which had rusted the top and some of the front of the fireplace. He thought he was going to have to take due to the stack apart, but once he assessed the situation, he determined it was due to creosole build-up. He advised me based on my usage, I should get cleaned more frequently. I asked about the rust from the rain. He told me to use steel wool, but then to make sure I painted it, because if I didn't paint, it would cause problems when I used the fireplace. They have the proper type of paint. They called ahead of time and called afterwards to make sure everything was fine. They did a wonderful job. They checked to see if I needed freon and I didn't so they didn't charge me for that.
