"AVOID WISE BUILDERS. THEY PAY ZERO ATTENTION TO THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. PLEASE READ LONGER REVIEW. I IGNORED SOME BAD REVIEWS, AND NOW I'M STUCK WITH A KITCHEN I REGRET. If you do end up working with Wise Builders here is my advice: Double-check everything. Big or Small. Don't take anything being told you at face-value. Document everything. Verify with every contractor that they know what the work they should be doing is. Tile layer, painter, etc... Full Review: I reached out to Wise Builders for a kitchen remodel and room addition. We started with the kitchen remodel and were going to pick up talks for room addition afterward. At this point, I will not be working with Wise Builders on any future projects. Throughout the project, we have had numerous issues with the quality of work and project management. They range from minor fixes to redoing complete phases of the project. These have led to a complete lack of trust in Wise Builders and the kitchen they built. I've debated whether to write this review because, to their credit, Wise Builders has been responsive when I've brought up issues. However, the number of glaring problems left me with fears about work that I couldn't see. Today those fears came true when a shelf fell because they had used too small of screws, and only the tips had made it through the wood, which is why I'm finally writing this review. We had a number of issues, but I'm going to start with one at the end that highlights how bad their quality of work can be when left on their own. Midway through December (project started Oct. 16th), we were at the final steps, and I was excited to be finally down. However, I noticed a few things were "off" when I started using the kitchen. The Project Manager told me the slanted gap above our cabinets was because the ceiling wasn't level. However, after inspecting the ceiling, there was a slight slant, but it was going in the same direction as the gap; you would expect the gap to get smaller when it was instead getting bigger. This was because the cabinets were not level. I'm not complaining about "Oh, that bubble could be closer to the center" off it is "That bubble is going over the line" off. We have the countertops, backsplash, and all the appliances installed at this point. If something this glaring isn't caught by Wise Builders and instead is left for me, the customer, to inspect, what would be? I felt 90% of the problems, one only needed to look at them to realize they needed to be fixed. Because of this, they wouldn't have been fixed if I hadn't complained, as shown by not even checking if the cabinets were level. We had issues with the following: *Screws sticking out of the top of cabinets. *Wrong parts used during cabinet installation. (I found out that the person installing the cabinets didn't have the detailed plans with installation notes and parts list. They were just going off of the 3D rendering of the kitchen.) The wrong paint finish was used for the kitchen. *The quartz countertop was initially miss-cut, needing it to be notched and the overhang depth being changed to sit flush. *Issues with baseboards and molding. *Damage to cabinets. *Chipped tiles in the backsplash. * An open boxcutter left on high self. *And more! When made aware of these issues, Wise Builders did try to fix them to the best of their ability. However, since they have had to redo and repair so often, I'm left with brand-new cabinets with permanent damage. The mental toll of verifying all the work, simple or complex, has been exhausting. I will follow up with more detail and a bunch of pictures documenting all the issues. But, I just needed to get this out here and off my chest."
