"The project went smoothly. I had a short window in which to work as the furniture on our 1st floor was removed for another project. I set up interviews with a number of companies, received estimates, and Mike's worked out the best. They were honest about how the project saying that some old stains on the floors might not sand out; the stairs treads and risers would need to be sanded by hand, therefore would cost a bit more; and the wood used to patch would not exactly match due to age. All of this I understood since the floors were over 100 years old. They had their staff on site early on the day they said they'd start. They worked as quickly as the weather would allow and the project was completed within the time they expected. Its been almost two years and the floors still look great. I waited a while to make this review in order to see if the work would hold up and it still looks nice. Now I'm hoping for another big project in which the furniture on our 2nd floor will be removed so they can do those floors."

"Mircea was fantastic and I highly recommend him. We had our wood floors refinished and stained by Arkadia Hardwood Flooring. On May 2014 we just moved to a new house and the floors were old looking and had all kinds of spots. We initially thought we'd have to completely refinish the floors, but when Mircea came out to see them, he mentioned that all we needed was a buff and a fresh coat. "Overall pretty good experience and do refer this company.  They were recommended by a friend and have great reviews on-line.  They came in move furniture around and installed padding and carpet same day.  Building maintenance did inspection and seems installers damaged a wall and scratched our door.  Company agreed to pay for wall in full and were going to pay for the door but we paid half since there was some damage from us or the neighbors and there was no questions asked, no hassle.  There was a line in carpet where it was joined and they came back to repair since it did not totally blend in a few weeks later.  This happens from what I have found out from others but again no questions or problems.  Price was fair from what we figured and completed in a timely fashion with bumps all taken care of.  Again we recommend this company and would use again but still would get some quotes anyway."
