"We had a 750 sq foot elevated deck built by Joel and the building team led by Matt. Joel was fantastic to work with from his first visit, design proposal and quote. The building team led by Matt did extremely high quality work and were great to design with as the project progressed. They were very neat and hard working. We were delighted with the overall experience, result and value for money. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend them."

"The owner was great.   The crew arrive late but left on time each day.  The work required two follow up repair trips - and the second trip completed the job.  I'm happy with the finished work.   They were responsive to emails and phone calls. <br />"

"From start to finish, this job was done in a professional manner.  Great care was taken to ensure that my house and landscaping was protected.  Steve (owner) personally supervised the project and took the time to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot of them!) before, during and after the project. The roof looks great and seems to be of a high quality - no problems so far.  There are a few shingles that have not yet laid completely flat (after 2 days), but Steve assured me that is normal and will be completely flat (from heat and gravity) in month or less (and that they would come back to correct if any do not lay flat after a month).   <br /> This was the first time that I needed to have home work done related to an insurance claim, so honestly I did not know what to expect from this industry.  What came to my doorstep seemed to be mostly questionable "storm chasers" types, many of which were not local and seemed only interested in knowing how much money the insurance company was paying out to cover the damage. So, I thought to myself, why do they want to know how much the ins company was paying?  Shouldn't they honestly determine what my job should cost to do correctly and how much margin they would target making - regardless of ins numbers?  Preferred never asked to see the ins numbers during the estimate, so I felt that they were truly looking to do an honest repair to my home regardless of what ins may or may not have covered. <br /> One other note - the roofing crew did accidentally damage my garden's above ground watering pipe, but Steve arranged to send out a plumber the very next morning to fix it!  Nice job! <br />"

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"They helped us with the design and then did the construction.   At all times they were available and responsive to our requests given when we started the project we lived out of state.  When we moved in in August 2013 we were delighted with the condition of our new home, the exactness of the detail finishing and the overall look and feel of it.   When dealing with builders there is always some apprehension and this company took away any concerns we may have had, living up to every single promise they made.   They also returned to do the "little jobs" that need to be done after a new home is built in a timely manner.  Their staff was great to work with and the workers who built our home and returned to do the little jobs were a pleasure to work with, not to mention fully competent. |"

"Jim said on the phone that he could do the hot water heater element or the thermostat.  That was the whole reason for the call in the first place.  He looked at the heater and said he had just the man who COULD do the work.....for $150.00 cheap!  I didn't expect him to subcontract out when he told me HE could do this on the phone.  He DID change the shower light bulb which we couldn't get out of the ceiling and checked out the window, which he could do nothing about.....need a new window.   Could have taken 15 minutes, tops, if conversation had not turned to other things which were not on my agenda. Cost $25.00 to change a light bulb and the trip here from Benton Harbor.  <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Hammond, IN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
