"Two workers arrived to perform foundation repair. They were not informed of the scope of the repair, poor communication. I had to show them the repair details. Once they were convinced that they had to replace the entire cornerstone everything went well. No reply from JES about my complaint. Previous driveway repair was without incident or issue."

"I contracted Virginia Foundation Solutions because of an issue I had with water seeping through the concrete/cinder block wall to the garage during heavy/steady rains and would install a weeping tile and pump system. The crew that came out to the job site, Joel, Alex, Tomas and Jacke known as "The Blue Crew", were on time and started the work right away. They were cognizant of the plumbing to the water well and the electrical on that side of the house. They were very careful during the excavation. The work took a good part of the day, and when it was completed, I couldn't have been happier with the overall results. I had brick pavers that I was able to incorporate into the landscape to frame out the upper layer of rock that was applied over the drainage rock and weeping tile/tubing. The testing of the pump functioned perfectly, and the electrical work was contracted through DT Electric LLC. Thank you again, Virginia Foundation Solutions and DT Electric in assisting me to resolve my water intrusion problem."

"I am very pleased with the professionalism of the staff who did the estimate (Sam), the assessment of where the water was coming from (Greg) and then the work (Chris, Brandon, Matt, Matt, Duke, Danny and Ryan. All of them were punctual, courteous, and very good at their tasks. B-Dry foundation repair service definitely deserves a recommendation!"

"I had a flood for the first time in the crawlspace and basement. I called Regional Foundation & Crawlspace Repair to come out. They wanted 27K for crawlspace encapsulation, that was too much and I could do most the work myself. I instead paid them $5,000.00 to bury a geodrain and install a triple safe sump pump system. This is the job they did, they installed the sump pumps at the 3rd to lowest point in the crawlspace and this geodrain goes back and forth from uphill to downhill. The lowest point still allows water to flood downstairs. They also cracked a chunk of my foundation at the point of sump pumps egress. Outside they just threw rocks on ground were the water comes out and can get back into the ground to reenter the crawlspace. They got 1 star because the people were nice, their job was not. Update as of 4/23/2024 they contacted me and said they wanted to make sure everything was good. A Girl and guy came out and noticed a couple things I didn't and said they would fix it that their company does not do work like that. They dug up all the previous geodrain and moved it to walls, tried to level out the drain and changed the location of the pumps and the drain outside. She had a really good work ethic and never took a break. The guy was on the other side of house and think he did good too. Everything they did looked professional and looks like they fixed everything. They had to come back today to finish the work today, but had three of them. It all looks good and they tested everything. They apologized about the old work and were not sure went wrong, but I don't have a negative view of the company now and am satisfied with the work they did. Just nocking one star for the under trained individuals that came the first time, the second crew was great!"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Mr. Knapp was professional and pleasant to work with.  He wasn't able to cut the hole the height I wanted due to the layout of the brick, but it was only off by 2" anyway and the same height of my existing crawlspace door anyway.  I can work with it!  After he completed the work, we sat down for a long time to discuss a future project (front porch), so I could get a good idea of what I would need for a budget to install the foundation of the porch.  We also talked about different options for porch flooring, and stairs.  Mr. Knapp was very friendly and fully prepared for the task at hand.  I will be using him in the future for other projects over the next several years.  Very happy that I found him on Angie's List, because it was impossible to find a Mason in this region...  I asked around, and even asked people in the building inspection office and other departments at the town hall to find someone, with no luck what so ever!  Angies List was detrimental in my being able to find a person for this trade.  Thanks to Angie's List and Thanks to Mr. Knapp! <br />"

"Once they got to our home, the work itself was done well and those that performed the work were professional and helpful.  The work supervisor, Buddy was very helpful and accomodating. Really enjoyed working with him.   My frustration came in with the project manager.  I reached out around June 19th or so.  Didn't hear anything from anyone so I emailed again on June 26th. Finally met with him on or around July 11th.  Duirng that time, we had made some changes but didn't get the estimate on the work until Aug 12th with an apology for the delay.  Going back to the emails, I think I have 6 "apologies for the delay" emails.  Work finally began on or about Sept 1.  Adjustments needed to be made to the bill but I never got the new invoice.  I had to reach out in November to get the final. I received the final invoice in December.  <br /> I again reached out to Andrew Roby for siding work.  Reached out in January, sent some pictures to the project manager and never heard back until March at which point I finally received an invoice on additional carpentry repair that was done in December  .  At that point I told them to never mind and informed him that I would no longer be using them. <br /> While I do appreciate the work they did and the work was done well, the overall responsiveness by the project manager made me go elsewhere.  I got the feeling that the handy man work I was asking for may have been too small for this company, in which case, they should have mentioned up front.  If you don't mind waiting forever for things to happen, you'll be happy.  Again, the work itself was done well and the folks that came out were great. <br />"

"Our home insurance carrier repair estimate did not match the quotes we received to fix the damage done by a storm. Their estimate was almost half of what it would cost. Andrew ordered a realistic repair estimate, negotiated a settlement and made sure we received our check. I would highly recommend Andrew. Very knowledgeable and personalable."

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Murfreesboro, NC

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
