"I called Scott in February to look at what I thought might be a leak in the kitchen. He came the next day, diagnosed the problem and helped me trade out some light fixtures in my bathroom and living room while he was there! After I discovered the leak repairs would require me to pull out my whole kitchen - and had a bad experience with a bully of a contractor sent out by my insurance company, I called Scott again to see if he could help. He came right away, and took care of the kitchen cabinet demo and hauling, replacing the sheetrock, and painting and cleaning up the kitchen so it would be ready for the cabinet installation. "Allen came to our house to review our project. We thought our project was going to be fairly simple and replace some grout and caulk. Allen informed us that we had a much larger issue that he could not fix. Even though he could not fix it, Allen was very knowledgeable on why we were having this specific issue and how to fix it the right way. Allen educated us, sent us an email with a references to certified tile setters, how to ask the right questions when picking your tile setter contractor and videos to educate us even further. "Reliable Twin Cleaning has been cleaning my home for over 7 years.  They have been wonderful to work for up until the past year.  The company has expanded and the quality & communication has dramatically decreased. 
1.  I used to have a stellar crew of 3 reliable, hard working cleaners and over the past year it has been one reliable cleaner with a revolving team of  fill-ins (either one or two other cleaners).  I need and want a consistent crew whom I can trust.  I also needed a minimum crew of 3 cleaners which I communicated on several occasions to the owners of the company.
2.  Communication became a big issue.  On occasion, I would call and email to cancel or reschedule cleaning but this was not communicated to the crew who showed up at unexpected times.  This is unacceptable.
3.  Over the years, things have been damaged (beach stains on high end Restoration brand towels, flushing a towel down the toilet, breakage of trinkets) but I overlooked these damaged items because the crew was consistently good.  Reliable Twin Cleaning did reimburse me for damaged items.
4.  The BIGGEST disappointment was after using them for over 7 years and consistently being a good client, when I called to cancel service the owners (David or Daryl) never called to ask why I was cancelling or never tried to keep me as a customer.  This is unacceptable too as their company had come into my home weekly for cleaning over such a long period of time.  It appears that they are not entertaining the thought of retaining current customers.
I have used Angie's List to find a replacement cleaning company with whom has shown the professionalism that I need and desire.

"I really liked their salesman and he is very thorough. In the past several years they've replaced all our windows. We've like four windows at a time, we have a large home. So I like the salesman and I like the way he explains everything. I like their service department, we had a problem with one of the windows and they came right out and replaced it."

"Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.
