Customers say: Quality work

"The job was done well, BUT the way they run their business is horrible. I never received anything in writing about what they intended to do so I was unable to even agree or disagree. This was promised to be provided the morning they started after we begged for it. When they finally were able to get us on the schedule, they took double the amount of time any other Contractor who bid the job indicated it would take. They had NO consideration for our privacy and spread styrofoam debris all over my neighborhood in spite of my complaining and even suggesting a solution! "

Customers say: Quick response

"This is a small operation (one guy really) but he did an amazing job. Jason was easy to work with, a good communicator-especially considering we had to wait out the weather to commence with the project- and he did a thorough job. He went above and beyond running out to match paint, something we initially left out of the bid, and left it with us for future touchups. He was just a joy to work with!"

"We hired Stellar Painting and Remodeling for our exterior painting project, and the experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Guy Miller, the owner and estimator, was professional, thorough, and easy to work with. They offered proactive communication and collaboration in terms of helping me select colors. The crew was respectful with advance and professional communication. They even provided assistance with my HOA approval. We would absolutely recommend working with Stellar Painting and Remodeling!"

"I would highly recommend Stud Construction. The general contractor was on the job every day, sometimes twice a day. They are experienced, reliable, see the big picture, have great ideas and approach challenges as opportunities for solutions. They constantly demonstrated integrity and persistence. They have excellent subcontractors who do painstakingly great work—on time, safety conscious and adaptable. It was a painless project and the end result is perfect."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Nederland, CO

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
