Customers say: Terrific value

"Father-son team Joe and Kevin (and their great crew) do an amazing job at a fair price. I had a new roof put on my house in Somerville. All through the process the communication was great, they did what they said they would do on time, and they left the yard and my side neighbors' yards very clean. Homes are close together here! I would give Cypress Construction 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended."

"I've completed previously several projects on my property with half a dozen different contractors, and I've never had an experience as poor as the one I had with Stella. 1. Subcontracted Work: Stella subcontracted 100% of the work to third-party contractors except for trash removal, which I'll address later. They likely hired cheap subcontractors and added a 20-30% markup for their own profit. 2. Lack of Communication: Communication was minimal. I was rarely informed about the next steps or timelines. 3. Unannounced Workers: Subcontractors (painters, electricians, carpenters, etc.) frequently showed up without notice and began working. 4. Billing Issues: Stella issued invoices for partially completed work and expected immediate payment. If not paid right away, they charged interest even though the work wasn't finished. 5. Final Advice: Save yourself 20-30% of the cost and a lot of headaches, hire a reliable local contractor instead."

Customers say: Quality work

"Meeting with them was very nice. They were on time and the work was completed efficiently. But the quality of work was terrible and the contract was not fulfilled. As you can see from the pictures rafters on my roof where supposed to be cisterned in instead they were cut off and toe nailed in. Also a rain diverted was supposed to be included on the roof and was never done. I reached out and mentioned the problems, was told they would be fixed and then no one ever showed up!"

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Needham Heights, MA

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
