"We bought our house last winter, and were hesitant to use the fireplace until it was inspected. I called A Cheaper Chimney Sweeper and Lee DePalma, the owner, came out within a couple days during peak season. He was careful to remove his shoes and place drop cloths to avoid making our house messy. He brushed out the fllue, inspected it's operation, and gave us several tips for maintenance. He had anthoer gentleman with him who looked at our exterior chimney. It was complete within 30 minutes. Overall, he was a very pleasant person and I will definately contact him beofre next fall for another cleaning.

He also did a wonderful job explaining what things were small fixes and what items should be done immediately due to safety reasons or things that should be done to prevent further maintenance issues in the future. "We chose SureGuard even though we had better quotes from other companies because we were sold on promise that work would be completed by their crews and supervised by their foreman daily. We loved the idea of hiring a local business that uses their own crews. It was obvious once work began that SureGuard was subcontracting work to other companies, and they did not send their foreman with these crews. The paint crew arrived and didn’t seem to have a complete picture of the work to be performed. They were difficult to communicate with and we had questions about the quality of their workmanship. I ended up having to place calls with their office to address my concern. To SureGuards credit, they did send out someone the following morning and my concerns were addressed. The work did turn out ok in the end, however the process was stressful. Had we known they were going to sub out the work we would have gone with the other bids. I would consider them for roofing, which appears to be their core business."

"The sale was easy, the job started when I wanted it to and took about a month to complete (some of the delay was getting the city building inspectors approvals). The crew had the deck and driveway removed in less than one day and the area prepped with forms. The crew was professional, expeidient and cleaned up the area well. Throughout the month, I was in constant communication with Debbie, who was professional, direct and certainly someone I counted on. The only flaw was that my 6-foot iron gate across the driveway was dragging on the driveway. The gate had to have the hinges repositioned higher; Martino met me half way for the cost. The final product exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Martinos and I do plan to have my front entry and walks done next year."
