"The workmanship was quick, careful, & highly professional. However, communication issues arose prior to the final installation which troubled us. We found a message on our phone message mid-day prior to the scheduled installation from someone who identified himself as the installer that they wanted to come earlier than scheduled, but the number for call-back was unintelligible, I called Yankee & left a message that they should tell the installers to come any time that day but a later call from"the installer" told us that they couldn't do the work that day as scheduled because of an urgent family illness. When we called Yankee again, the Installation Manager offered to reschedule for the following week (not workable for us) or, though they normally don't do Saturday jobs, they would do so, & reiterated that an urgent personal issue was the reason for the delay. Though extremely inconvenient for us, we accepted that as the better alternative. The installers arrived on time on Saturday morning, worked with impressive efficiency, and were extremely polite & friendly. What surprised us was that they said that they could have completed the work as scheduled the day before & knew nothing about the phone calls we had received. These evident communication issues troubled us, but not the quality of the work. Time will tell whether the windows are as great as they appear & continue to function effectively over the long haul. Another strong positive: because of the inconvenience, they provided us with a $100 gift certificate to our favorite local restaurant. Overall, they provided excellent service & what appears to be an excellent product. However, their sales pitch stressed service & communication &, while better than some, lapses in quick availability of customer service & inconsistencies in communications led us to rate them extremely highly but less than perfect. We'd certainly strongly consider using them again for a different job but they didn't live up to the extra-high level of prompt, individual, personal service stressed in our initial meeting with their sales representative."
