"We received four estimates/quotes from four different contractors/companies, to replace our 25 year old deck with composite decking. Jim and Outdoor Solutions were by far the easiest to work with and the most knowledgeable. Their quote was middle of the pack but they excelled in their knowledge, experience and willingness to work with us. Mike conducted the estimate, and he was also the daily on-site foreman of the four man crew. He knew exactly what we wanted from the initial estimate, and he had the experience to make it happen. Where he really shined however was in his recommendation of a plan for a privacy fence on one side of the deck, an area where the other contractors fell way short. Mike spent countless hours sourcing a local metal fabricator, planning the installation and incorporating a design of my choosing. I would not hesitate to recommend Outdoor Solutions to my neighbors or for our own future projects."

"Our house is from the 60s and has had significant water intrusion in the basement. The first installation took care of 85% of the problem. When we had water still coming in the front wall, they came back, twice, to redo and expand the work, going way beyond the original commitment to be sure it was right. We now have a dry basement. <br /> Definitely would recommend this company. They stuck with it to be sure things were taken care of. <br /> Be sure you have anything in the basement covered. This is a dusty procedure. <br />"

"Chris & his crew arrived on time, they had to remove the existing tree, plant the new tree and create a stone tree well around the nw tree.  It turned out just like we wanted.  They also installed some small shrubs for us to improve the overall appearance of our backyard.  We love it and get compliments on it all the time. <br /> Previous to doing this work for us, Chris & his team installed a paved patio and sidewalk in our backyard that we love.  That's why we knew we needed to go to him when we had this job come up.   <br /> We highly recommend this company for anyone who needs pavers, stone work or landscaping done.  They are reliable and do beautiful work! <br />"

"BEAUTIFULLY! I had been looking for remodelers to do my kitchen for 4 years. When I found Northrup I felt like half my journey was done. I worked with Bob Nentl as my contractor throughout the process. This house is over 100 years old so bringing the kitchen up to date proved to be a design challenge. Bob referred me to Richard Groh Architects and I worked with the two of them to get a really nice layout. In the design process, I chose to remove the small back porch and expand the kitchen. Because of the slightly slanting lot, this also developed into a small expansion of the basement underneath the new addition. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Bob and I connected regularly and he kept me apprised of any issues and gave me reminders regularly. The work area was cordoned off so that dust was minimized and living was doable. I say ‘doable’ because construction always disrupts your life. Everyone who worked on his project was professional, friendly and highly skilled. From the cabinets, tile and countertops (the visible pieces) to the plumbing, electrical work, floors, construction, and excavation - - They were all excellent to work with. Even my back steps are beautiful! There were a couple of things that I added along the way, including having the plumber look at and replace the plumbing up to the 2nd floor bathroom, and an egress window in the basement (the City’s requirement). Other than that, the project came in on budget. Our only delay was the April snowstorm that delayed the back steps. I was still cooking in my new kitchen though, and I love it. I would definitely hire them again. Everyone remarks on how beautiful my kitchen is - and it’s so much more functional."

"Maybe they do amazing work, I have no idea. I called 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and submitted requests for estimates twice. I spoke with someone 2 or 3 times on the phone and each time I was either told to go submit a request on the website or that he remembered my note and would go find it and email me with a time to set up an appointment asap. It never went any farther than that. If you are too busy or have other things going on and can't respond, that's totally understandable but please just say so so I don't waste my time. I'm rating a C b/c I'm going on the assumption that SOMETHING was going on that would legitimately explain this otherwise inexcusable behavior."
