"Scott did an amazing job on our fence repair. Our wooden fence had some rotting posts and the fence was falling in as a result. Scott took out the rotting posts and replaced them with new ones. He cut the old posts into pieces so they would be ready to put out for trash pick-up. We had ropes holding up the fence, and he and his team removed those as part of the job. He is very service-oriented and did very high quality work!"

"Our railing project was challenging: a stylish design needed to fit our historic 1930 bungalow with curved front steps. Several contractors said "can't be done". Krech didn't flinch - they have the special tooling and skills necessary to fabricate and install it exactly as we had envisioned, at a reasonable price. Plus, they are wonderfully nice people to work with. We couldn't be happier!"

"We needed to increase the height of the railing on our stairwell for safety, so we had a custom iron rail made to go on top of the existing wood piece. The railing Loftus made is beautiful and exactly what we need. (Pic attached – we will be adding an additional wood top rail soon). Although we know the job was small for them and didn't expect to be in constant communication, I would say that the communication was a bit lacking. But – it did get made and installed! However, installers seemed to be hurried and caused a couple scratches in our existing wood top (which I had just refinished)."

"First Five years fence was warrantied and of course no problems. Now its seven years later and I have wobbly fence posts, the stringers are falling off, lots of split pickets, gates don't open correctly (you have to lift up on all 3 gates). Lip service from company but no action from them. Don't use this company with their low grade cedar and terrible installers! On a 6 foot fence they only used two stringers on 8' expanses. No way should fence literally be falling down after 7 years! Would give negative stars if I could..."

"We hired Dan's Fence in July 2023 to replace our aging fence in South Minneapolis. Shortly after the completion of the job, we noticed that one of the boards was developing a large split down the center. I called and left multiple messages via phone and text but never received a response. With winter quickly approaching, I gave up and decided to wait until spring to try again. I finally got the attention of the owner via email on April 19th. Along with a sob story about losing employees, he assured me he would put it on the schedule to have it replaced. After a month of silence, I emailed him again and this time gave him a week’s notice: repair the board or I would post this review. He called and gave me a different sob story. Needless to say, he did not complete the repair within the week. Remember, this is one board that needed to be replaced—a 15-minute job at the most. A $10,000 fence should not have boards splitting, and if they do, the contractor should make the repairs in a timely manner. Simple as that. I would not recommend Dan's Fence to anyone for this reason alone. **Dan, when/if you replace the board, I will consider amending this review."
