Lewis, after extensive talks with us, came up with several redesigns that incorporated our tastes and preferences, while also taking into account the limitations of the space. Lewis was not only receptive, he was involved and creatively problem-solved every step of the way. Daily, he was there, overseeing the work of demolition teams, plumbers, cabinet makers, flooring experts, electricians, carpenters, and painters. When he discovered that one of our support beams had been taken down almost 30 years before, he quickly found a solution and was able to put up a massive beam that supported out entire upper floor. Throughout the work, we never had to worry when â discoveriesâ (never good ones, regarding electricity, plumbing, you name it) were made â we always knew Lewis would find solutions.
