"We were desperate. Major Drain sent a tech after hours. He arrived when promised and worked for 90 minutes to clear the drain. We are very grateful."

"This is an update since the excavation. I had a problem with the inside pipes backing up into the floor drain and my indoor pipes. I called the company to ask about them coming back out, as when they did the water blast on the first visit, waste came back up out of the sewer line. Well, I travel a lot and did not realize there was still waste from that visit backed up in the pipes in my home. I called Cali and she did not respond in a concerned way, stating it wasn't anything they did, quoted me a price to come back out and snake the main drain or sewer line again and a travel fee. She gave me some times they may be able to come back out here almost as though it was an inconvenience. I explained that I felt it was a remaining job from the original visit that was not taken into consideration by the plumbers when the sewer shot back up due to the broken line. I am also questioning why they were going to do the hydro treatment not knowing what type of sewer line I have, which is the heavy paper, and during the excavation the plumber performing the work said it is not a good idea to use that treatment due to the type of line.

I called the actual plumber on his cell number given to me at the time of the digging who did the excavation and he was tied up and said he would call me right back. He never called back.

So, given these facts, some drain cleaner and a plunger on my part to get the back up out of my pipes, and possibly another future visit from a plumber , I am changing my original review due to the fact that after spending 3450.00 with them they have no concern or urgency about remedying my problem.

I will hand it to the plumber doing the excavation, he is very skilled, however the company did not respond to my issue after the fact in a positive way, and I am removing my original review.

"

"we've used them for a couple of years for plumbing problems in our house. They are consistent, experienced and reliable. They call about 1/2 hour before they come and show up when they say they will. We've had several plumbers over this period and they all were helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Terry just finished a job for us today and he was great."

"The owner came when he said he would. He needed several parts and came back the next morning to complete the job. I have used this company for years. The cost is reasonable.
"

"The basement drain started backing up so gave these guys a call since I've used them in the past (see previous post). They were out that day -- very responsive. On the first trip, they were unable to find the main line clean-out so they went through a toilet (after removing it) and snaked the main sewer drain. I have two trees in the front yard and the roots from one or both found the jackpot in the main sewer line. They found the clog, but the snake got snagged and they were unable to retrieve it in a timely fashion. They finally got it out and decided to go in with the camera. However, they were unable to get it past the first trap and finally had to give up. The main drain was flowing fine so they called it a day. They had run out of some type of adapter to reinstall the toiled so one of the guys took off to find one. Took about 45 minutes. When he got back, they discovered they didn't have a masonry bit to install the adapter. Guy went back out for another 30 mins. Got back, reattached the toilet. $451.
Two weeks later the drain backed up again. I called that night and they were back out the next morning. Again, very responsive. By this time I had found the main clean-out, but it was behind the furnace and the clean-out faced the furnace so no real room to work. Went in again through the toilet and water started flowing fine. They found A fem hygiene product and A baby wipe (my daughter and grandson are staying with me, so.... yea).
I had them feed the camera through the clean-out this time (tight, but it worked fine) and the pipe looked good; a few roots still noticeable, so not sure how ONE fem hygiene product and ONE baby wipe could have caused a clog in a 4" pipe. Water flowed fine and continues to do so two months later. $200 for second visit.
NOTES:
1. I started using copper sulfate (Zep - get at big box store - thanks YouTube) to kill those roots. $13 a pop, a few times a year vs. $650.
2. Not happy it took two trips or that they didn't have all the parts, so it wasted my time.
3. If it does happen again, I feel I'd use a national chain simply because they've probably done 1000's of these and it may cost less.
4. They don't give you a receipt on the visit (two carbon sheet manual system) so they'll e-mail you a copy in a week or so. Hence, "B" for Professionalism.
5. If they go through a toilet, they can't use the 4" cutter (for the 4" main). Not sure why they didn't push the snake to the main clean-out then swap the cutters. They suggested a new clean-out outside.
"

"I cannot give kudos enough to Bradd Conn and his team at American Rooter. I gave them a challenging situation with a 50 year old house that fought them every step of the way. We ended up pulling a seamless pipe from the sewer in the street to my house in miserable weather. Bradd and his team spent 12 hours on Saturday finishing up the job in single digit temps before the record low hit. His team was polite and explained all options every step of the way. They never hesitated to answer all my questions. If you want a top notch job at a competitive price with great customer service I recommend them without any reservations."

"We have a home warranty, so we are assigned contractors. Our water heater pilot light wasn’t working and we had a small gas leak in a house pipe. We were assigned a plumber who did not answer our calls or the warranty company’s call so I was allowed to use my own plumber. Rooter Man showed up within an hour and fixed the leak and water heater. We have used Rooter Man many times to clean our sewer lines, and love how professional they are. They also replaced our dishwasher, which they had to come back for due to the fact we needed an electrician before it could be installed. They came back as soon as the electrician was done, in fact, the electrician was here and they collaborated the installation. I ended up not needing something because Jared with Rooter Man worked with the electrician. This saved me $50 on the electrician bill. Their customer"

"Everything went smoothly. The plumber they sent out was professional and did very good work. Though plumbers are never inexpensive, I thought the $350 they charged was reasonable for the amount of work they did.
"
