"We had one little unanticipated issue and they handled it perfectly. He was by far the most reasonable quote I received and the quality was great. I thought he was very professional and very knowledgeable about radon. Before this experience I didn't know very much about radon now I know more about the importance of testing, and the safety of my home and family because of him."

"The technician, Jay Anderson, did a superior job. Even though the job was difficult, Jay installed our system precisely with an end result that looks professional and well done. Also, Radon Environmental Inc installed a radon mitigation system at a previous home as well as our current home. Each time they did an excellent job. Mike, the owner, explained thoroughly the whole process prior to installation. After installation, Jay went over all the details of the system. I recommend Radon Environmental Inc 100%...you will be completely satisfied and happy with their installation!"

"I did not deal with Karen directly—our home inspector coordinated the radon test both times. (We had two homes inspected.) But the results were returned quickly and, in the case where the home had high radon levels, a detailed proposal for a radon mitigation system was also provided. I was very pleased in both cases. Knowing what I know now, next time I would schedule a radon test on my own to save a little money. The additional amount we paid to the home inspector for a radon test was higher than the cost of the radon test would've been had I booked directly with Pure Air."

"After the test results came back, we were happy to hear that we did NOT have asbestos, even though it originally appeared that way to the home inspector and the Air Co representative. We now have peace of mind that we can continue working in our space without being concerned about the possibility of asbestos."

"It went very well, I was impressed with his knowledge. I was more impressed with his customer Service, very down to earth guy he is very patient, he answered all of my questions that I had. He allowed me to go up in the attic to check that out. He took care of the Radon test for me and termite inspection. Could ask for better service."

"I waited a month before getting a test kit I called and was told there was something wrong with the Angies list orders but that I would be receiving a kit soon. It wouldve ben nice if they called me to tell me that though. The test results were quick and on par with other radon test I had done locally."

"No idea where to begin with how thorough and meticulous Troy was on both home inspections he did for me. He didn’t miss a thing and gave me a very detailed report on how everything needed to be fixed the right way and small things that I would want to pay attention to on my house long term. I highly recommend this company and they also preformed 2 radon tests for me and he did an excellent job helping get mitigation systems installed on both properties for safety."

"Alex was very professional. He performed the work on Friday. Late Saturday, we found that we had no hot water. We assumed it had to do with the testing. On Sunday, we called assuming that we would be leaving a message. However, the office answered. Within two hours the owner, Phil, was at our home and solved the problem. He also fixed an electrical problem while he was here. In the 25+ years we have been in our home we have not has such a response and service. We also received their report within 24 hours. Great customer service!!! Totally recommend them."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Noblesville, IN

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
