"Egress Windows Fairfax installed an egress window in my basement and did a fantastic job. The window permits emergency evacuation from a room being converted into a bedroom. The reasonable cost of the egress window immediately raised the value of my home. To minimize damage to my yard and my neighbor’s yard the company manually dug the pit for the egress window to below the foundation line and beneath the foundation drainage pipe. I was very surprised to see a large sump pump pit installed below the foundation. The contractor explained that they do this as a service in the event of any future drainage issues it is quick and low cost to install a sump pump. Small stones filled the bottom of the pit. The contractor offered several options for pre-fabricated surrounds to line the pit. Every member of the crew of Egress Windows Fairfax knew their job and worked diligently. They only rested during their lunch time. At the end of the second day the job was completed and the soil was well graded around the new egress window. "Very easy to work with. Their repncame out and did a free home energy audit in a timely manner. They then go over over everything they find. He walked me through everything he found. The list he came up was priced out but was definitely a little more than I wanted to spend...but he worked with me to figure out what items to fix that would give me the most bang for my buck at the cost wanted to spend. "The owner was prompt, personable, and explained choices and options very well. We chose to go with Stronghold even though we thought their price was a little high. The project was delayed very slightly because the trim color we selected was discontinued and we had to make another selection. The supplies were delivered and covered before installation. The installation was completed efficiently. One small piece at the gable end either fell or was not installed and we were not completely satisfied with the dormer wrapping. When he came for inspection of the finished project, the owner readily agreed with us and sent his crew back to fix it. They did a really nice job and the yard clean-up was impeccable. We were initially a bit surprised by the price quote, but we wanted to go with a high-quality window and window well.  Also, the quality of the work performed by Travis Graham and his crew member was outstanding. In cold, wet December weather they excavated 6 feet down to the foundation footer and cut through the foundation to install our vinyl egress window and MarFlex window well.  Travis Graham always came to our house with a smile and a good attitude.  Right after we signed the contract, Travis went to his normal vendor and discovered that they no longer kept the window well we wanted in stock.  He found out that the window well had to be ordered and  the price would be higher than what was originally quoted. Instead of raising our price, Travis honored the contract by absorbing the extra cost.  Graham Restoration also went the extra mile and not only filled in the hole they dug, but also grated and seeded the dirt.

As an aside, we found out that Graham Restoration hangs Christmas lights for a small fee.  We had them outline the front of our house with lights we had bought, and they also took them down for us.  I think we had one of the best looking houses on the block.
