"Very professional group of people, I had a floor replaced, tile layed, and a back door replaced. 5 star all the way, from price, to completion of the jobs, the men were here working, and working hard, til job was completed. Never late to start, and even worked late in the evening. I will definitely call them again. Thank You!"

"The installer was friendly, professional, and took care not to damage the cabinets or stovetop. He was knowledgeable and asked if we had any questions. He was on time and called before he came to be sure we were ready for him. We would hire them again!"

"My selling retailer could not provide warranty service on my new washer for 3 weeks or longer. I called CNS because the washer was unusable without a working detergent dispenser. CNS sent technician Amye two days after I called. Her initial diagnosis was 2 defective water pressure valves. She ordered the parts immediately. When the parts arrived 7 days later, CNS called me back to schedule a return service call to install the parts. The call was scheduled at my convenience two days later, when Amye returned and installed the replacement water pressure valves. The washer now works properly and I still have not heard anything from the selling retailer."

"Appliance install went very well. They had to modify some of the cabinets to get the new oven and microwave units and it looks great.  Some of the painting wasn't very neat, but they returned and cleaned it up.

"Isaac and his crew were great! they came out and when the found that there was a slight decline where we wanted to put the goal they said, "no, problem!' and they just got a bit more concrete and made the hole a little deeper to compensate. When the goal didn't come with the appropriate sized bolt to finish the job he went to Home Depot and bought one himself. Would recommend their services to anyone installing a basketball goal!"

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Norman, OK

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
