We were concerned that sanding the textured paint off the walls would create a huge dust mess to clean up however the sander was attached to a large vacuum and the dust issue was 95% mitigated and easily wiped away. Physical install of the pocket door, framing went well and door looks and works perfectly giving privacy to 2nd and 3rd bedrooms and 2nd bath without the original swing door intrusion. Highly recommend Penar Improvements, Also be prepared to discuss the project and requirements with Mr. Penar, he knows his business and will gladly share constructive suggestions on how to complete the job with the best final result."

"We had our kitchen floor replaced in April 2023 and while pleased with the floor itself, their attention to detail was terrible such as black trim was removed and it was replaced by white trim, see photo. We had to have a heated discussion with Daniel, the owner, who was very unprofessional. He reluctantly agreed to replace the white trim. The other major problem was the three transition pieces to existing floors, see photos. Two pieces were replaced as part of punch list. It took until July for punch list items to finally be repaired and the retainage was paid. Within weeks, the third transition piece failed because of the gaps left under the trim. It has been 3 weeks since the company was notified and nothing has been done. The construction is supposed to by guaranteed for one year; however attempts to have this repaired have gone unanswered. We would definitely NOT use them again."

We were overwhelmingly pleased as each project was completed with perfection, as we had a limited ability to be at the job site. Bill, Gary and James created a beautiful tray ceiling in our bedroom, closed off the dining room by adding French doors, extended living room walls into a vaulted ceiling and added a gorgeous glass feature, stone faced a fireplace up to the vaulted ceiling, and tiled the entire house with a wood look floor tile. "I hired MA Design and Construction Co to do my bathroom remodel at the recommendation of a friend who also used them for a bathroom/kitchen remodel, and I would definitely hire them again. Not only did they finish right on schedule, but they understood my desire to stay within budget, and never tried to pressure me to overspend or increase costs. They did not start construction until all of the materials were in hand, or in stock, which made the renovation go even smoother. I also had some plumbing issues arise (old valves that needed replacing) which they were able to replace without adding time to the schedule. Marc, Raquel, and team were great and very responsive. Raquel’s design suggestions were really helpful to me, as I wasn’t 100% sure what would look good in a small bathroom. I would definitely recommend their work!"
