"I received quotes for three different options - the cedar fence, an alternative in vinyl, and a repair of the broken fence. The sales guy was very easy to get hold of and provided the quotes promptly. I went with the cedar and it was installed in two days. For some reason, the old fence posts had been sunk in concrete, and all the concrete had to be removed. The yard was cleaned up both days, and the fence came out really nice.

18 months later, the fence still looks good."

"Dan and his associate actually did a nice job replacing my old cedar fence around my pool with a combination vinyl and aluminum fencing last fall. Dan was very pleasant throughout the process. Unfortunately, when I opened my pool this spring, I discovered that they had punctured some underground pool return piping while installing one of the fence posts. (The pool was already closed last fall when they replaced the fence so there was no immediate water leak at the time of puncture.) I am disappointed because Dan would not respond to either email or phone call (with message) to discuss this matter."

"After doing some research with other local companies, Tony's had the best price for what I was looking for (granite lamp post, lantern, and installation). Liz in the office was very responsive and the entire transaction from ordering the post to scheduling the installation went smoothly. The crew who installed were friendly and professional. It was exactly what I was looking for and I am thrilled with the final result."

"If you are planning any sort of extensive renovation, you are going to be spending a lot more time that you think with your contractor. I recommend you do yourself a favor and make that contractor Bruce at KBA Contracting. You can look around and spend your time interviewing others, but you will not find another contractor who performs the same quality of work, is as responsive, or is as nice of a guy as Bruce is. You could certainly find cheaper, but, honestly, you get what you pay for. Bruce's prices were competitive with the other contractors that we would have actually considered to handle the work in our home.
Bruce is full of ideas so be prepared to fully explain what you are looking for. Bruce will give you his honest opinion (which is mostly spot on) but in the end will always complete the job to your specifications (aside from safety considerations). Bruce was able to work with our insurance company to get us the maximum amount of money to cover the work in our home. When an unexpected expense, not originally included in out original insurance award came up, we did not even have to speak to anyone at the insurance company. Bruce made all the phone calls and within a week we had a check covering the full expense of the additional gutter damage discovered during the course of the work. When unexpected structural concerns were discovered in our children's playroom, Bruce worked with us on the price. Bruce worked with us on all aspects of the project to ensure we could accomplish what we wanted within our budget. Bruce was even willing to work with the guys from Geek Squad to make sure our surround sound system would be installed correctly.
Bruce's team was always courteous from his roofers, to his electrician, and his carpenter, Rob, is amazingly talented. The work completed on our home-- opening the floor plan and refinishing the floors-- looks absolutely stunning. We are planning further renovations to our home down the line, including exterior work, and kitchen and bathroom renovations. There will be no need to even think about who we will call when it is time for us to do the work. Hiring KBA is a no brainer.
"

"I contracted with Dan Peirce to put vinyl siding on the exterior of our screened in porch as well as paint the interior. It also required an additional support post and re-bracketing underneath. The project initially was priced at approximately $4,500. I was aware of some spots where there might be rotted wood and was prepared to pay extra in the event they had to replace it here and there. The day they started I gave Dan my cell phone number and told him I would be in and out but available all day and able to stop back in at any time. I asked him to call if there were any issues. When mold was discovered all three walls were demolished and partially hauled away with no phone call to me. When I returned to the house there was only the ceiling and the floor left and a couple of moldy panels for them to show me. When I asked one of his workers if there had been mold on all the panels he replied that he thought so. While I certainly hope they were being honest about the extent of the damage Dan should have called me before allowing it to be ripped out. He was usually not on site except for first thing in the morning, which is probably where some of the problem lies. I received an email from him that evening at 6:45 explaining what had happened after the fact. The additional construction was quoted at $3,375. I agreed to this feeling that I had little choice at that point. Communication throughout the project was poor. Additionally, the demolition left lead paint chips all over due to insufficient use of drop cloths. When the job was done there was an additional $800 dollars added bringing the total to $8,688.42. When I questioned the surprise additions he said it was for things we discussed after the second proposal that were not included. I told him that if they were not included he should have told me that and mentioned what the costs would be. I asked if we could split the difference, which he said no to. I paid the full $8,688.42. The final product looks good but the process was not smooth.
"
