"Long, but good. We had lots of back and forth about the design, on-site discussions, and several drawings before we ever signed a contract. All professional, well thought out, and frequently with just the right amount of good humor. While it seemed expensive, the number of people involved and the amount of materials were impressive. They did innovative footings to keep from concreting my whole back yard and covered it all with zero maintenance materials. They built the new deck enough higher that my wife can roll into the back door in her wheelchair. AIP's subcontractors were expert and friendly. Materials arrived quickly and they made sure the ramp was usable ahead of my wife's ankle surgery. None of the crew used any bad language and everybody seemed to get along. When the building inspector asked for some additional railings near the top of the ramp, they offered me choices, and charged no additional money for the time and materials to add four sections of railing with balusters."

"james is a great problem solver and has all the skills to implement solutions. We have a cape cod from 1940 that is very well built and James has the right level of craftsmanship to work on our home. He did an excellent job installing and painting a new frond door, including weatherstripping. He also put in a screen door in the back. James also replaced mortar and concrete in our entrance. When a leak developed one day, James identified its origin and replaced siding on a dormer. His carpentry skills are excellent. James is reliable and responsive. If there is a change in schedule, he calls. He also cleans up after each day's work very well. He is pleasant in demeanor and has been very informative in explaining what and how he does things. He has also shown me some techniques in refinishing furniture as I am learning on an old piece of furniture. We are very happy with James' work and plan to use him for other projects. "Overall, it was a great experience. I had heard horror stories from other people who had work done and used a big chain type of store and I did not want the hassle. I called Tewksbury Window and Door and left a message. Bill, the owner, called me back that same day. I told him what I was looking for (my first call was for a door) and he scheduled a time that worked around my schedule and showed up right when he said he would. He measured my door, I explained what I didn't like about my door, what I was looking for, and what I wasn't sure about. He listened and showed me many different styles and let me choose what was best for me. The price was fantastic (I think I paid around $900 for my door, installed). It is a beautiful door with a glass oval cut out in the center and brushed nickel handle. I love it. When I needed a new picture window for my living room, I called Tewksbury Window and Door again. It went as smooth this time as it did the first. I ended up choosing a Bay window with grids. I love it because it tilts in and is so easy to clean. Plus, my old window only opened on the sides but with this window all 3 sections open wide (the 2 sides and the big middle part). It looks so nice, there is no longer any drafts and it is so easy to care for. When the employees from Bill's company came out to install the window (and the door) I was immediately impressed with their overall appearance. They were neat and professional looking and they took their work seriously. When they were done they cleaned everything up and even vacuumed the rug under the window. They were friendly and courteous. I have recommended them to other friends and family and they have had the same experience that I had. They were wonderful to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. <br />"
