"Mike is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He came out this week to care for a few small projects; install new drapery rods and replace 2 bathroom vanity mirrors. Mike had previously completed handyman work for me, due to another handymans inferior work. Mike is the only handyman I will do business with. Cannot wait until I am able to use him for a few larger projects down the road."

"A Silver Hammer Construction did excellent work for us. Robert was quick to respond to my estimate request. Our project was set and they came as agreed on time. He was also responsive to questions via text messages. His prices are very reasonable. All the work was completed as we planned. Roger, our pro assigned to our project was knowledge and professional and we enjoyed having him in our home. He was careful to protect our home while working, and cleaned up very well afterwards. So, if you have a list of of projects to get done in your home, I highly recommend Silver Hammer Construction. Looking forward to working with them in the future."

"Wow! Beautiful and detailed workmanship. I splurged on a Marble bathroom remodel and I wanted it done right. Jim exceeded my expectations in every way. He thought of details that hadn t crossed my mind. I am so happy with the job and will continue to hire Leonards for my home remodeling projects. I have also used Jim several times for smaller projects and he has always been prompt and knowledgeable on a wide range of home repair needs."

FAQs for handyman service projects in North Aurora, IL

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
