"The job was fairly straightforward and I had already procured the sink and most of the additional supplies but the job required some replumbing of both the water supply and drain. The master plumber worked efficiently and professionally and the job was completed in a few hours. The cost was determined from a standard table in a notebook but does not take into account the complexity of the job or whether materials are supplied by owner. Since I supplied most of the materials (plumber supplied valves and pipe and drain fittings) the price seemed rather high for around 3 hours work. However, I've had no professional plumbing work done recently and thus have nothing to compare it to. The plumber was very pleasant and professional and the work of high quality. I have no other complaints."

"We used Mike twice in the past three years. First visit was for leaking pipes in the basement and for a bath faucet that wouldn't shut off. He replaced the inbound water link with PEX for about 10 feet. He also replaced the internal mechanism in the shower. Both were done within a few hours. Mike agreed to meet on my schedule which was in the early evening to assess the situation. He's punctual, professional and tells you what you need/don't need with a repair. The second call was for an emergency leak in t ceiling. He cut out a small section, located and repaired the leak. The work is top notch and he make sure everything is cleaned up nicely. He also answered all questions I had and gave advice about watch to watch for since it's a 40 year old house and the copper may be thinner and lower quality. We'll definitely use him again and have already recommended him to other family members and friends. You will not be disappointed if you hire Mike. <br />"

"It went well. The only ding I'd give them is on the first morning they were to arrive, when they didn't show up in the time window they specified, I gave them a call (1/2 hour after the window) to find out that they couldn't make it that day - they were dealing with an emergency. They did offer to try to make it out that day but mine wasn't at the emergency level so I was OK to reschedule for a couple of days later and they arrived within the hour time window they specified (which I think is great - how often do you get a 1 hour arrival window?). I'm going to call that ding very minor however because with this kind of thing where a failure can cause lots of damage its the work that matters to me most and I thought it was first rate, joints looked clean and see below for extra work they put in. Also, prices were comparable to a couple of other quotes that I got. On site, the operations manager Peter McIlroy was very courteous, professional and clear about communicating what was happening as the work progressed and they got things done in a reasonable amount of time. There was a failure on the cold water intake valve (original with the house equipment) which they replaced and they also mounted this basement hot water heater around 4" up on a concrete slab - it had been directly on the floor previously - in order to make the work more robust (provide immunity to basement flooding). I appreciated the extra attention to detail and they did this at no additional cost. My broken heater was under a Sears warranty, which they still honor even though they're out of business, and they were willing to pay the cost of the hot water heater alone but the receipt had to be written up itemizing that alone and Waterworks Mechanical was able to accommodate me so that Sears would pick up the tab for the heater. I'll hire these guys again probably for any plumbing thing I need done in my house."

"I have been a homeowner for over 40 years. I have used various plumbing and heating firms over that time, many were fine. Rizzo is by far, the most professional, efficient and trustworthy firm i have ever dealt with. The gentlemen that came to evaluate our situation ,had to deliver some unwanted news about a relatively new tankless system that was installed 6 years ago, and was shot. Unexpected news for us. Yet, could have been much worse if they didn't step up, replace the unit, and prevent a much bigger problem, Mike was the technician and was efficient pleasant and totally helpful. Office staff is great, and helped take some of the sting out of the cost with helpful rebate guidance. We had another problem with an electric water heater that was not working great, much smaller fix but resolved that problem to perfection. This is a TERRIFIC firm.. I will use no-one else in the future."

"Joe was prompt (earlier than scheduled, but he checked first to make sure it was okay). He and his helper got right down to business - efficient but responsive to my several questions. Eventually I'll need to replace the toilet, and Joe was good about explaining the options and making a recommendation. "If you don't want to pay about $200 minimum to fix a clogged main drain and are comfortable with renting a professional snake at HD, search online for lots of good how-to's and videos. If you aren't successful doing it yourself, or you just want someone else to stick their hands, nose and face in your "black water", I'd highly recommend John's. Had a back up in the 4" main line going out to the septic tank. I dug up the inlet cover on the tank to make sure it wasn't an easy clog at the PVC pipe coming into the septic tank. Called at least 10 different local hits on Angie's List, to check price and availability. Clearly stated I wanted a price to have someone ream the 4" main line line from the basement to septic tank. John's price was the most competitive and availability was "we can have someone there in 1-2 hours max". Technician arrived on time, called 30-min in advance while on his way, as requested. Very professional, almost 30-years experience for the tech and worked for about 2 hours to unclog the "drain from HE*L". First tried to back ream from the septic tank to the house, but was getting jammed up. Then, he persistently worked opening a cast iron fitting that was frozen shut. Did his best to catch almost all the 20 gallons of "black water" that blew in his face when he opened the clean out. Thoroughly used a 4" blade to cut through the run from the basement to the tank. Mopped up the floor the best he could with the rags he had. Confirmed there weren't any other blocks throughout the main line. He was determined and would not leave until he and I were both sure that everything was resolved, and resolved completely and correctly. In the end, the price was about 40% higher than what they quoted me initially, but the job required far more time and an additional run to be snaked that wasn't expected. Happy with the service and professionalism."
