"It was Memorial Day weekend and we were opening up our summer camp for the season. We purchased a new water pump and were unable to get the water going. We called Watertech out of desperation and received a call back within a few hours on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The fellow apologized for not getting back to me sooner and was at our house within the hour. He checked the pump installation we performed and repaired the check valve at the well point. He was pleasant and efficient. We had called Watertech the year previous for some work and were very pleased with them at that time as well. This is a summer house on a lake that freezes each winter and there are many problems getting the water going in our house. <br /> I also suggested to Watertech that they offer a service to folks like us that would like to have the water turned on in their home prior to arriving at their summer camp. They said they would consider it and I for one would certainly avail myself of this service. <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"Great! Richard had a cancellation and asked if he could come in that time slot. We were delighted. He was prompt. Richard is knowledgeable, explained everything he was going to do, was very professional and friendly. He worked both inside and outside. The job looks very solid. Our realtor came over a few days later ( we are selling our house in the spring) and was very impressed with the workmanship. I would highly recommend Jackson Foundation Repair."

"Wet Basement Solutions sealed the walls of our basement and installed a sump pump about three years ago. As of today, 5/2/23, our area has experienced a great deal of rain, which would have caused our basement to flood in previous years. Since WBS did their work for us, our basement has remained perfectly dry. My husband and I have been singing their praises for the last few days!"

"My sump pump bit the dust during a big storm, filling my basement with water while I was out of town.  My usual mechanical company recommended Basement Systems. I called them at 8:00 p.m., they were very nice and up-front about the cost of sending someone out at night.  They had someone there by 10:30.  He replaced the sump pump and stuck around to make sure it was doing the job. <br />"

"This company will rip you off if you call with a problem on a Saturday. We lost water on a Friday night and we called on Saturday morning to have them take a look at the system and let us know what was wrong. They charged us a $250 fee for a Saturday dispatch, which would have been fine, except that fee doesn't actually give you anything. We still had to pay for labor as well as a diagnostic fee. They were at our house for 1/2 hour, used no parts and said everything with the well system was fine and charged us $471.50. I understand it companies need to make money but I own a company with a service department and what Comac Pump and Well is doing is wrong. Our company charges more for weekend service, $85 for normal business hours, $185 for weekend service. However that $185 includes (1) hour of labor. What is the the $250 charge for? Nothing other than fleecing the customer because its a weekend. That's wrong"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in North Conway, NH

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
