I was not disappointed in Oregon Duct’s work. Steve - the owner - was the best: knowledgeable, skilled, hardworking, and just a darn nice person! I know from my research that a lot of companies use just a shop vac, brush, and sometimes an air compressor to clean ducts. I’m a hardcore do-it-yourselfer, so I was really curious how Steve would go about this project. He had lots of specialized equipment (and he used different techniques) to clean the branch and main supply ducts, return ducts, and furnace plenum, and his whole truck is a huge and powerful vacuum cleaner. "He vacuumed and used a brush to clean floor vents, sprayed with sanitizer, cleaned furnace motor, reattached dryer flap, He also replaced our exchange pipe and this was the one thing that was not done right. It was too short and he had to pull it and stretch it to make it reach. He also used duct tape instead of HVAC tape. The tape became loose and air was leaking out and the cold air exchange in ceiling of family room makes a flapping noise because duct tape did not stick. However he did a great job with the vents."
