"Question answered. After some energetic snaking produced only mud and gravel, we declared it either to be a "collapsed pipe" or a catch basin. Technician snaked a neighboring pipe to see if there was a back door into the suspected catch basin, but no luck. Next step: find someone to dig up the old basin then install a sump pump w. basin."

He also did preventative maintenance on the hot water side as well since both valves are the same age. He even let me know where my water shutoff is located since living in a condo makes it a little confusing. Additionally the price came in just as I was prepared for with the initial quote.
