"I will say they are slow to return calls but Gil and Matt did a great job cleaning and sealing several sections of original tile in my  1990 home on the East Side.  The entry way was pretty stained and though some of the tiles were broken, Matt did a nice job cleaning and keeping the tiles in place.  We chose not to try to replace them because they were not in bad shape other than cracked and were original.  The file place hearths looke much better afterward.  The first time he sealed one, it did not set up properly.  Matt came back quickly to repair the work.  I also liked that he took the time to explain to me the tools they use to clean up the tiles. <br />"

"I called Jeff to estimate a small tile repair in the shower area. Jeff said that he could do the repair but that I had a bigger problem. I have an older home and when the clawfoot tub was replaced with a new tub and shower, ceramic tile was put over the plaster. Jeff said that the proper way to do the job would be to remove all tile and plaster down to the studs. He would then put up cementboard and new tile. This was confirmed by another contractor. When Jeff had done all of the demo work, he showed me that there was no insulation in the walls. He said that if I had some insulation (which I did) he would put it in for me!!!  Jeff did a very good job for me and I would not hesitate to use him again ( Jeff was also 33% cheaper than the other bids). <br />"

"Dimitre and Sandy at DTK were absolutely fantastic to work with. Our builder originally quoted us $17,000 to fabricate and install all the stone for our renovation.....with lesser quality stone. My wife did some research and found that we could procure higher quality stone ourselves for half the price. Our builder explained the price difference was because they carried the risk of breaking the stone or incorrectly measuring/cutting the stone, so they had to inflate the prices. We told the builder we were more than happy to take on that risk. <br /> We visited one stone dealer in the western suburbs who gave us an initial quote, but they never responded to our follow-up questions. So we moved on and found DTK. I can't say enough about the responsiveness and professionalism of Dimitre (the owner) and Sandy (the office manager). The entire process was smooth and easy. DTK even jumped through some hoops for us when our builder gave us two days notice that they needed the shower nice bases and thresholds. <br /> The end result is gorgeous. I'm so happy we found DTK and would recommend them to anyone."
