The professional handyman was very polite and courteous. He clearly understood all my requests and carried them out very well and efficiently. There is a service fee of $54 and an hourly fee of $134 with a one hour minimum. But these charges, especially the service fee is not exorbitant, given that some companies charge much more. "Bertie was extremely responsive from the initial contact and through out the job. He came on Saturday morning to check out the job and give an estimate.  He said he'd be there at 9, he was there at 8:55.  We had to replace a bathroom ceiling fan, which caused damage to the old plaster/wire popcorn finish ceiling. It was a small job but he was fine with that. He was able to schedule the for Monday. He should up again early and set straight to work. He put down drop cloths in the bathroom, prepped the ceiling and started patching it up. He was professional, courteous, friendly and highly knowledgeable.
