"Took waaaay to long. 6 months, albeit, we started in late November but it was the nicest winter in history. Promise was late February for completion. I finally conceded in June that they had finally met all contractual obligations. There were several reasons it took so long from my point of view: not showing up when they say they are, poor workmanship requiring lots of rework (all caught by me, not the so called Project Manager), no dedicated project manager, unclear instructions/requirements flowed down to the contractors sent to do the work, company too focused on the next jobs instead of completing this one, etc..I could go on and on...Damaged my driveway and blamed the driveway even though I asked upfront if there would be any harm to it. "No we do this all the time" was the response. Damaged my neighbors lawn and I'm still fixing that. Overall, a bad experience. I'd rate them a "D" but they did eventually fix most of the quality problems. The rest I have, or will take care of. Cutting the ties with this contractor. Would not recommend."

"Our backyard sloped down gently from the house for about 60-70 yards with a total elevation change of about 15 ft.  The space was filled with debris including many boulders.  Total area was about 15,000 sq/ft <br /> The goal was to create a level area for a large shed and another level area as the "backyard." <br /> Day 1 Rob cleaned up the debris, removed a few trees, and moved the boulders <br /> Day 2 Rob excavated to get the basic shape for the landscaped area including constructing a natural wall using boulders he excavated from the work area. <br /> Day 3 and 4 Rob brought in fill and then loam.  He continued to excavate, pack, and survey to keep a small grade to address runoff from the house. <br /> Day 5 Rob finished excavating, raked and seeded the entire space. <br /> Overall we were extremely pleased with the final product.  Comments about Rob and Champion Construction: <br /> <ol> <li>1. <strong>Professional</strong> - Rob arrived every morning at 7:15 a.m. and worked till 4:30 p.m.  He kept a clean and well organized work site.  He kept to budget in terms of $$ and time very closely.
