"It was a challenging install because the space was so tight and the water and drain lines difficult to access. Jeb at Express Plumbing had to install a new supply line and adapt the drain line to the new unit. He also installed an access panel so that the water could be shut off to the unit in the future if necessary. Upon testing, the dishwasher did not leak at that time; however, Jeb had to come out a second time because the drain line became kinked and the dishwasher would not drain. He was able to shorten the drain hose and loop it so that it drained properly. There was no charge for this follow up repair. Dishwasher is working fine now. Jeb was very professional and thorough. "They wanted over $400 to clear out the drain line, but I balked after which they offered that if I subscribed to an annual maintenance plan they'd do it for $99, plus $238 for plan. Fine, it gets me seasonal maintenance check-ups and priority scheduling. They did the work, but it still leaked, so I had them out again. They responded promptly and we've had no problems since. On a plan, drain line cleaning is $99, so no justification at all for a $400+ estimate for a drain line run of maybe 20 feet. Asked for quote to replace A/C and furnace system, and got the same feeling of trying to "sell up." When we asked too many questions about system they recommended, we stopped hearing back with promised answers and info. That's too bad b/c we thought it was close to an ok price, but just weren't convinced we needed the system as proposed. They also seemed surprised that we intended to get more estimates. I called on Nov 10 to schedule an annual furnace maintenance visit as part of my plan, and my "priority placement" got me an appointment for Dec 27, albeit with a promise to try to fit me in on a cancellation. The individual techs were all professional and polite, and they resolved the problem. As a plus, a newly hired electrician who came on the original call offered to address an electrical issue I might have since he was here and couldn't really help with the drain line issue. I thought that was smart and mindful of appearances since customers don't like to have service techs standing around. He replaced a 3-way dimmer ... much appreciated."
