"I recently bought a 2-flat with a flat roof that was in really rough shape and especially difficult, it was multiple layers deep and completely in shambles. David and team did an outstanding job: 1. Tearing off multiple layers of old, crumbling roof 2. Installing new insulation and granulated roofing 3. Spot repairing brickwork around the chimneys and edges 4. Spot tuckpointing the front limestone of the building 5. Cleaning the property afterwards The job was done in a total of 4 days, 2 for the tear off and re-roofing and 2 for the masonry/tuckpointing work. I was very impressed by how quickly they were able to get this done given the severity of the issues and the difficulty of the project. All this to say, I would absolutely recommend APR Roofing for your roofing and masonry needs - they were efficient, cost effective, transparent and honest. "The Owner was excellent at communicating with me. He went above and beyond in cleaning my gutters and also checking out the roof on my garage. The work performed was overpriced. The work was completed in under 45 minutes. What did they do for $1,400? They replaced rusty nails with new nails. The area of the shingles where my roof was leaking through ceiling was sealed. There was no replacement of plywood or shingles. The Owner (Steve) said it was not necessary. He showed me pictures of the work they performed. In addition, the bottom of the roof vents and chimney were sealed. The work they performed was worth about $800 to $900. I was charged $1,400 -- the Owner gave me a 2 year warranty on his work. It has rained in Chicago since my roof was repaired, and so far, so good. I appreciated all the work they did. They did an excellent job, but for the work that was completed, I thought the price point was a bit inflated."
