"Absolute best. I had three bids. One was way over the top. The other bid was slightly lower than the one from Maplewood Plumbing, but they stopped responding to my questions after I asked them two times. I understand that if it was just a $200 job, then it would not be worth the time, but $2,500 was no chump change. Couldn't I ask just a couple more questions to make sure I knew what I was getting into? Maplewood plumbing was different, from start to finish. They even came out a second time to take a closer look to reassure me on what needed to be moved or removed first in order to start their work. I doubt many companies would want to do that. The plumbers working on the job were happy to answer questions as well. There was a small drip in the water supply line/shutoff valve area of the toilet after they were done with the job, They fixed it after a call. Some companies just leave these loose ends unfixed, but they didn't. The office staff was also responsive and professional. All in all, they were such a pleasure to work with. Will definitely hire them for future plumbing needs."

"Garrett Korn was my installer from Mr. Rooter. I was informed prior to his arrival that he was on his way and he arrived shortly after 8:00 for an 8 - 10 AM window. He quickly analyzed our plumbing problem, gave us a quote right away (which I agreed to) and then left to get all the parts he needed. He was only gone for a short period of time, did all the work, and was totally completed before 10:00 AM. The quality of the work was very good and now we are up and running again. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter and selfishly ask for Garrett. He is easy to work with and very competent."

"Plumber came to my house to assess work required and products that I needed to purchase in advance. Kelly Spradley returned twice to complete the job. He was excellent, and I have every intention of requesting him for future plumbing renovations that we have already discussed"

"At 11:00, I called Aries about the first floor toilet seal leaking into the basement. Jimmy showed up shortly after Noon. He gave us some hints about how to deal with the upstairs bathroom sink drain and worked efficiently to repair the toilet seal. During the process, he also replaced the toilet water delivery shut off valve O-ring. I mentioned that the Price Pfister shower fixture wasn't delivering hot water effectively and he made an adjustment. When all the work was completed, Jimmy only charged us for the toilet repair - and then gave us the Senior 15% Discount. Jimmy rocks!"

"The service itself was great. My technician was here when promised and he was friendly and got the work done quickly. He also did another line inside that had been backing up (for an additional fee of course). The only issue I had was that when he was outside, he removed a huge rope-like root that had caused the blockage and he did not remove it when he left. I came across it the next day when I went around the side of the house and there it was in my side yard. It might have partially been the confusion of doing the extra line, or partially because there was a huge thunderstorm brewing and he was trying to finish up the outside work quickly, but we had to deal with it and it was pretty gross. With other services I've used, they have taken things like that with them for disposal. I would 100% hire them again though--I'd just clarify or double-check before I signed off on the paperwork."

"Matt and Trey explained everything in terms I could understand. While wall was open we considered whether other plumbing should be replaced, but they said the lead in pipes looked like they had already been replaced. I appreciate that kind of honesty! Price was less than home warranty co. was going to charge me to replace the entire stack vs. just the leak. Price did not include wall repair."

"Everything went very well. OJ Laughlin Plumbing was very cooperative in scheduling the work quickly. The technician met me at the condo at the time agreed, and the work was completed quickly. Everything was neat and clean when he finished. The tech was friendly and professional. The office was most helpful in ensuring I had the documentation needed to show the buyer the work was done. I will call this company any time I need plumbing work!"

"So I was really apprehensive about hiring a plumber. I didn't want to get taken to the bank for an outside water line (it was encased in concrete and about 2 1/2 feet down) but I needed this done and was unable to fix it myself. I called Beis Plumbing and the first person I interacted with was Jessica. She was wonderful. She was courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable. She did not mind spending time on the phone with me to answer my questions and was prompt to return my calls. So she set it up that someone would come out and give me a quote. The next day I believe, Charlie, showed up at my house. I know he spent every bit of 45 minutes there but the problem only took 10 minutes to look at. The rest of the time we discussed his business, life, growing up and then back to plumbing. I could not have been happier with Charlie. What great customer service skills. He took the time to get to know a little about us and made us feel more comfortable with him. Jessica gave me my quote the next day (Charlie wanted time to go over things in his head to assure he would be able to get it done for what I could afford). We set up to have the job completed on Friday but on Thursday they called and asked if they could start on it because another job was pushed back. They sent Tony out to do the job. Let me tell you he is indeed a wonderful, hard working, ethical, responsible, trustworthy individual. (I really could go on this way about everyone I have met or talked to from Beis Plumbing.) he worked very quickly and when he noticed something not setting up the way he would have liked, instead of burying it and moving on, he cut the line, ran back to home depot, and fixed it in a more sturdy manner. He cleaned up all of his mess and was very polite during our whole interaction. So if your looking for a company with high ethics, hard workers, great customer servcice and a all around good experience for a lousy situation, then Beis Plumbing is for you. Thank you everyone at Beis Plumbing for all your hard work. Misty Hill"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Oakville, MO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
