"I purchased an electric tankless and pre-filter/softener directly from the manufacturer and started hunting for a plumber to install it. Now most all plumbers recommended against a tankless hot water heater, and Maplewood wasn't really any different in this regard. BUT, they listened to us, didn't treat us like idiots, and obliged us in our foolishness and they were really awesome. They did the job quickly and without a mess. Also, WE LOVE OUR NEW TANKLESS HOT WATER HEATER! I looked at our electric bill after 2 months (March-April) of using our Stiebel-Eltron E-tankless whole-house water heater unit, and the kW usage actually DECREASED from one year ago for those same two months. That’s right, there was no increase in our electric bill. As expected, our gas usage decreased. My wife was very worried because she often ended up talking to the plumber issuing the dire warnings and predictions about our silly misguided endeavor to get a tankless unit. "Have a high end faucet that was not letting water flow. I was able to partly fix it but needed help. Purchased a new faucet and called J & E to install. Curt was fantastic. He recommended we keep the Grohe Lady Lux we had because it is much better than the new ones you can get at the local hardware stores. He was able to completely take it apart and drove to Henry plumbing for a replacement part. The cost ended up being half the cost of the new faucet I purchased and was able to return."

"Maurice, Allin1 Plumbing provided excellent service replacing my exterior hose bib. Although running late from a previous appointment, he assured me he would keep his promised appointment and arrived at my home around 4 p.m. to bid the project. He quoted me a price for labor that was considerably below other estimates, and provide necessary materials at cost (showing me the purchase receipt). What truly amazed me was that, even though it was quite late to begin the job, he did the work immediately (rather than returning at a later, scheduled date), including running to Home Depot to procure the parts. The job was completed quickly, efficiently, and with no surprises. The project was completed totally to my satisfaction, with the worksite cleaned of all debris at completion. I will definitely contact Allin1 Plumbing for my next plumbing project. I should also mention that Maurice, fully capable to perform the needed plumbing, was also congenial, extremely polite, and most importantly, highly professional."

"Contractor came out when scheduled and provided estimate; we scheduled work for following week. Workers showed up on time. Work was done quickly and odors and mess were taken care of. Work took three-and-a-half days. We are very pleased with the quality, professionalism, and appearance of finished labor. We had other contractors give us estimates for similar work, only they were in the $6-15K range; we got a beautifully-done job for far less.

"While at first glance the work looks good the contractor could use some lessons on detail. Basically, CR is painting the tile with a durable, highly adhesive paint. When painting it is customary to remove from the wall fixtures that can be removed in order to paint "behind" them-- i.e. light fixtures, electrical plates, etc. CR did none of that. They merely taped over the fixtures and went to town. The result is that around all of those fixtures I can still see a thin border with the original blue/pink tile. Worse, we informed them that one of the light fixtures would definitely be replaced with another with a smaller footprint and they still painted around it so now we have a large blue border around that fixture. In addition, CR failed to properly coordinate work with the general contractor resulting in some tiles going unpainted entirely. Some of those unpainted tiles were eventually painted but not all of them. Our experience with the durability of the product is mixed. The work in the hall bathroom has stood up to heavy use. There has been very little chipping and zero peeling. However, in the master bathroom the shower floor began to peel up less than a year after the work was complete. We called CR and it came out to repair. That repair peeled up less than a year later. We called again and CR repaired it again. It peeled up again and we called again. This time I was informed that to properly repair the peeling they would need at least $300 additional dollars. This was quite frustrating given that the shower floor had never lasted more than the one year warranty. Rather than pay for a repair I felt should have been done for in the course of doing good business I made the repair myself. I stripped off all the old paint, scuffed and etched the tile, and then used a contrasting textured concrete paint to refinish the shower floor. I looks much better and thus far has stood up much better than the original work. Overall, the quality of the work could be better as well as customer service. The product seems to be good if applied properly."
