"My first experience with Julio was an after-hours discovery that my water heater was going out. I urgently called a few people, then a Boston number for "emergency plumbing." The answering service was very kind and helpful in connecting me to Julio, and through a back and forth process of texts and iphone photos I was instructed how to turn off the water. It took a couple of hours for him to arrive with an assistant named Michael. They evaluated the situation, then offered to purchase a new Hot Water Heater at Home Depot, which they did, and then offered to continue the work and were all finished that evening--a bonus for me. Although I was a bit concerned about the process of having him do that purchase, I was given the receipt from home depot and the labor and installation cost was less than I paid the last time. I paid him the total with AmEx on a portable card reader. He apologized for the condition of the invoice he gave me, since he had to re-use one and it was a bit messy. Also, I wanted to have a TACO overflow valve installed, but our communication was a bit of a challenge, and I don't believe that was done. However, he did a reasonable job of cleaning up a tough basement situation. On the basis of this work, I hired the company again to install a new faucet in the kitchen, and to replace a garbage disposal. This time I shopped for both. Michael was sent at the agreed upon time, and did a fine job on the faucet. When it was time to replace the disposal, he consulted with Julio by phone and asked if I would like him first to try to repair the disposal, quoting me a labor cost that was lower than it would be for replacement. I agreed, and he was able to find the cause of the jam and I returned the new disposal. A happy result. This time I paid by check, I will call again as the need arises. I feel they do good work, with none of the high pressure or cost that I have had in the past with others doing similar work, and they are very nice people."

I am writing this recommendation about a wonderful experience I had with contracting DLM Remodeling  to do my kitchen remodel.

My project started back in August with the initial telephone call to one of the co-owners, David Merrifield.  He replied right back to me and scheduled our initial meeting.   He, along with his partner, Steve Ventola, showed up at my house, on-time as he said he would.  This was the first step in the right direction for me.  From this initial meeting, I explained my vision of a dream kitchen.  We rattled through suggestions and ideas and then things went into place.  It took me multiple visits to the kitchen show room of, Watch City Kitchens, to get an understanding of how to construct the cabinetry I was looking for.  Once this was completed the kitchen plans and the cabinet ordering was done. 

The major portion of my project started in mid-November and was completed by mid-January.   I had a bit of extensive work done and all was coordinated by DLM.   Starting in October I had all of my hard-wood floors, including 3 bedrooms refinished.  I had existing flooring ripped up in the hallway and front living area.  Also, had all the tiling in the kitchen and laundry room torn up and wall to wall rugs removed.  Then I had all new ¾? red oak hardwood flooring, 3? wide planks, installed throughout. 

This is where the project took off.

From the flooring, then the rough electrical to the plumbing was completed in a timely manner.  All the workmen were polite and professional.  They were more than happy to listen to me and my concerns.  I did not feel any of my thoughts were pushed aside.  The blue boarding and plastering also happened without incident.   The painters also did a great job, since I had a few color choices and wanted different walls in every room painted a certain way to allow maximum coloring through-out  the day.  All the crews came in, worked and cleaned ?up every night.  They showed up when they were scheduled, too. 

When the cabinets arrived all the final work was pretty much completed in less than 2 weeks.   This was installing the cabinets, to the hardware and the installation of the quartz countertops.  The final electrical and plumbing finished up seamlessly.  The inspections were also done without any issue.

All I can say is that DLM Remodeling did a spectacular job managing and coordinating my kitchen remodel.  I found every time I called or sent an email or text it was answered quickly.  No waiting around to hear back, they answered me right away.  In my opinion, when you are doing such a big project you want to feel rest-assured you are leaving your house in the right hands.  This is the feeling I had every time I reached out to DLM.   You could not ask for a better remodeling company to come and do work in your house. 

If you are considering any size job and are looking for a good reputable company, DLM is my first choice.  You can?t go wrong and I will gladly give them high marks and a recommendation on their behalf.
