"Leaving our house in the hands of Chuck from Talex was, without a doubt, the best way to welcome ourselves to our new little home. Not only is Chuck knowledgable, but he is also personable, and always took care of the house as if it were his own. He is responsible, always clean and tidy, uses extra drop cloths just because, leaves each day with the house as tidy as it was when he arrived, always takes the extra time to ask if he can leave his equipment, and when he does, it is always neat and "out of the way". He takes into consideration that we have a toddler who just might want to touch everything. Furthermore, on occasion he helped us bring the mail in, helped us receive packages from UPS, and even took out the trash and came back later to retrieve the garbage can. So he is a great guy... but how is his handiwork? Phenomenal! I witnessed him with saws and tools and levels, going about his day installing windows and doors for us -- amazing artistry work, a true artist. Here is a summary of some of the touches he put to our house, and and by doing so, he made it even better. - Enlarged and replaced windows, along with new insulation - Replaced front door along with finishing all edges and insulation - Painted bedrooms, living room, basement -- all impeccably done - Remove kitchen cabinets, sink, dishwasher, countertops, then re-grouted and tiled the missing spots on the floor - Replace floor moulding/shoe moulding - Repair water damage (wall, ceiling) - Emergency valve repair -- he made time to come by the house on a day he was working elsewhere, and on the coldest of days in February. I was in a frenzied, meltdown mode, completely distraught, because we now had a new swimming wading pool on the basement floor. He stopped by to fix the leak, and also fixed the valves later on. On one of these days he also took the time to educate me on the valves and the way each one works on each of the utility units. - Removed and replaced 3 toilets - Installed light fixtures (including chandelier) - Installed Lutron Caseta smart light switches - Installed recessed lights in kitchen (so beautiful! Photo attached) - Installed motion sensor faucet - Installed mailbox including digging the hole, securing with post cement, then took extra measure to affix and seal all edges with extra screws and silicone - Installed heavy bag mount - Referred HVAC professional to install 2 smart thermostats and run c wire If you are reading this review, and still considering whether to reach out to Talex or someone else, delay no more and go for Talex! Yes, I would go to him for future house projects if you don't, because we do highly recommend him!"

"My wife and I purchased a home in desperate need of a refresh and hired Phil and the crew at G&M Construction Group to renovate about 75% of our home including removing load bearing walls, renovating the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, basement, floors and more. First off Phil and his crew are some of the most professional people I’ve worked with.. always on time, seemingly always available, preparing quotes quickly, full in depth explanations.. the list goes on. Equally important, he is incredibly knowledgeable. We had a million questions and concerns and he was there to answer them all. He respectfully steered us away from things that in hindsight would have been a total disaster, but was respectful of the few things we could not budge on. The attention to detail was remarkable. He has a true passion for his work and takes great pride on anything he puts his name on. He always took the time to explain all aspects of the job and work to be done each day. As walls came down Phil inspected every inch of the house of any issues, leaks etc and arranged for everything to be fixed. He even caught things that the “home inspection pros” missed. Lastly, we listened to Phil’s advice throughout the process and the finished product is truly unbelievable. Everyone that walks into our home is blown away by the craftsmanship, including us each and every day. Phil has a true skill, a wealth of experience, an eye for precise detail, a huge knowledge base, manages his crew efficiently and is overall a great, trustworthy guy to work with each day.
