"Issac responded within 30 minutes of my request for quote and came in at a reasonable price. He kept me updated on when the install would occur. The install crew showed up on time and didn't stop working until the job was complete. They were very professional, answered all of my questions and my asphalt driveway looks exactly the way I hoped it would look. I would definitely recommend them for any asphalt work."

"He answered my call right away. He worked around my very busy schedule. They installed Millings in my parking and walk ways and front culvert along the road for weed control! The crew was very polite and went above and beyond. I had a hard project that had lots of fences to work around and objects , and he did a great job getting everything packed in and was very reasonable with the price. "

"Mulch was laid down nicely all along driveway and still looks good after two months of rain. The asphalt sealing job is top notch…not a skimpy spray on job but top quality sealant squeegeed evenly on the asphalt that was showing a lot of signs of wear and cracking. Tie-in to the street looks great and extra time was spent making it look perfect. I’m really happy with the quality workmanship and timely manner in which it was done after having to wait for the rainy days to stop and surface to be dry enough for sealing to happen."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Old Fort, NC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
