"He did a decent job cleaning, but he told me he needed some special sprays that he didn’t have. I was looking for someone who would put down the plastic on the floors to help keep furniture and other items off the floor while the floor was drying, and he didn’t have that either.  I was a bit disappointed in that regard.  He did the cleaning, and he cleaned well, but that was basically it.  With the ceramic floors, he didn't have any attachment to help clean under the cabinets where the machine wouldn't reach.  He did warn me of that beforehand, and I had him go ahead and do the work, but the corner areas were left darker than the areas he cleaned.  Again, he warned me of this ahead of time, but I would recommend to the company that they gain the ability to cover these corners."

"<p>I  am still waiting on shoe molding to match the floor in the stair way entrance to the 2nd floor landing( 3 weeks). It is oak flooring with with shoe molding, notice immediately when landing on the up stairs entry way.   I did discuss my concerns about the stair case landing and was told the piece was ordered and I need to pay my final payment  per manger/owner(paid 1/2 to begin and 1/2 at finish).<br /> <br /> Some laminate is not laying down smoothly may come up in the future.  The casing around the door is not touching the floor. Carpet was taken up so the door door casing do not come down to met the floor. Trying to come up with a solution to repair which would not be costly to pull the frames around doors.  I have four doors, which is 8 door frames sides that would have to be repaired.  I wish I had known the casing was going to be an issue and was not  included in the cost.  You would think a floor installation business would know what the installation would need.   I googled the internet, and I have seen a solution called kick casing.  You would think a professional floor installation company would  suggest or fix the problem.</p> <p>Company did comeback and replaced the molding on the landing and it looks good. Re-glued a spot that was coming up.</p>"

"rinSalesman was wonderful to work with, came right out to house and measured. He let me know what the cost was with in ten minutes his returning to the store. Installer did a great job and did everything I asked of him. The t modeling had not arrived by the day they were scheduled to come. Make sure they have everything as it took a week to finally get the t modeling installed. Over all it went quiet well. I will 100% consider using them when we change out other flooring. So I highly recomend Flooring America store in Columbus, Ga."

"I paid for professionalism, labor and timely completion of a job given the tight time window of fair weather conditions that existed. I am satisfied with the job outcome. I paid $2,395 for the paint job/prep and related tasks. I paid $50 for the peep hole. I paid $95 for the repair of the lower base of the front entrance columns. The last three tasks were performed gratis. As he himself stated, Mr. Weatherby's name and reputation is on all the completed work. Mr. Weatherby likes to paint."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Omaha, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
