"Patio Enclosures was fantastic, the subcontractors that came to do the job were not. However, Patio Enclosures sent two Field Supervisors over to spend and entire day addressing all of our concerns. Overall, their customer service is what made us happy with this project and we absolutely love our 3-season room!"

"It started in December where our garage door remote and the wall button would start to open or close our door really slow, usually leaving it opened part way. We would have to unplug opener to reset it or close it by hand. It would work for a month or so and then it would do the same thing again!  After 3-4 trips he finally replaced the logic board,  and reprogram the remote that ended up having to be replaced a couple months later.  <br />"

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Chuck and his team made my dreams into reality and exceeded my expectations. Their work was impeccable! The team with Chuck were skilled, knowledgeable and proficient. They totally remodeled three bathrooms in a very timely manner including plumbing, electrical, flooring, Wall construction, tiling, and painting down to the smallest details. My new tub is fabulous with a built-in shelf behind it! Any minor imperfections were addressed quickly and to my satisfaction. As a whole, you can trust this company of skilled people to be honest, trustworthy, and reliable! When the project was completed I did not hesitate to hire them again to build a beautiful deck for me. They transformed my backyard patio area from an eyesore to an exquisite living space. In this day and age where there are so many contractors it is difficult to choose, but using DreamMaker with Chuck and his team was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I would not hesitate to hire them again when it’s time for me to remodel my kitchen. You will not be disappointed when choosing dream maker."

"Put down my 50% deposit in April and was give June as an estimate for starting the project. Communication is the weakness here. In mid-May, I had two guys putting flags to mark utilities, which is how I was informed the timeline was moved up. After I contacted Advantage for clarification, I was given a two-day "window" for post installation. The installers just showed up without a call confirming it was convenient (we have a dog, so it would be nice to know when a fence is coming down!). Posts installed with one not completely backfilled. Left over dirt just dumped under a tree, no one came to the door to ask if that was the most convenient or desirable place. In my communication with Advantage they said the concrete had to "set" and the fence would be built 7-12 days later. So imagine my surprise when after installing posts on Tuesday, and rain Wednesday and Thursday, guys show up Friday evening to install the fence. I went out to check and make sure the concrete wasn't an issue with the rain, and to ask why a post hole hadn't been filled and the "leader" said something about two different concretes, but then cars started pulling up to drop kids off for a party and I had to leave. The workers built the fence and then took off without letting me know or asking me to come out. When I checked the fence the next morning, it looked nice, except the same post hole that wasn't filled. The invoice email was sent and I responded I would gladly pay as soon as that hole was filled. The response back was that the sprinkler system was "nicked" and had I gotten that repaired yet? This was the FIRST I had heard about them cutting the sprinkler line! Apparently the "leader" I spoke with insisted he told me, but that isn't something one is likely to forget, so unless he mumbled as I walked away, he did NOT communicate that. I was leaving for two weeks the following day, so I had to rush and contact the sprinkler service to get the repair done so I could have the system on during my absence. There is a "sprinkler protection" clause in the Advantage contract, which I didn't take, but since that was $160 and my bill from my sprinkler service is 19 cents short of that, it would be a wash. Then their automatic invoice service was sending me threatening emails about paying penalties because my payment was overdue, even though I had let them know I would be out of pocket for two weeks. The fence seems well built, but they left cutoff piece of wood, trampled shrubs, broke light fixtures and left the place a mess. I had tried to move as much as I could out of their way, but it seemed like they picked a small shrub up out of the ground and just chucked it out of the way. Overall, the price was decent but the professionalism was lacking."

"The old original windows had iron frames, with wood-framed storms. The old iron frames had surface rust, and the old wood storm frames had all rotted. I wanted my new windows to have strong frames that resist warping or rotting. I think 100% composite-frame windows (the only kind ABC sells) were the right choice. They cost about $500 each installed - not cheap - but I have no regrets. The installers were prompt, professional, and fast. I had to do a lot of exterior  caulking (as recommended by ABC Seamless), and a little painting, after  the installation which was no big deal given the relatively small number and size of the four windows, and given how easy they were for me to access. However, with our many other double-hung windows, I would not want to have so much finishing work to do myself! With these hopper style of windows, while the immovable (outer) frame is perfectly straight and square, the sash (which tilts inwards from the top) is not perfectly straight/square in three of the four windows (only one of the four looks perfectly aligned when closed shut). The old original hopper windows likewise were not perfectly straight, but with their design, slight misalignment wasn't visible.  ABC Seamless told me my new hopper windows could not be adjusted. So, I just put some weatherstrip foam in the gaps. Both functionally and visually they're fine. Again, no big deal. I just wanted to explain why some of my ratings are B rather than A. I would use ABC Seamless again for basement hoppers because I know of no better option for such window application here in Omaha. I'm still looking for the best option for the rest of the windows (all double-hung) in the house."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Omaha, NE

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
