He was on time to our meeting and, after a careful assessment of my lawn, made several recommendations on implementing a treatment program. As a former Director of Facilities for a large college, I could tell immediately that Mike knew what he was talking about and was very knowledgeable about best practices regarding turf maintenance. He made some recommendations regarding my irrigation schedule and said he would would tailor an amendment application after receiving the results of his soil analysis--so his is NOT a one-size-fits-all approach like some other services. He asked for no money up front and applied the first treatment just two days ago. At my request, he initiated an irrigation cycle on my controller after the application. So far so good."

"Fortunately I made my decision to use Landscape Locators' services. Andrew did great work and help! Be careful with dealing directly with the landscape contractors.  <br /> With Andrew's service I closed contract with contractor who's name is Rich on Jan. and Rich finished my backyard in three weeks. But the project was rejected by HOA because Rich attached electric box to the wall when I applied for refund of my deposit in May. It took me over one month to communicate with Rich for correcting the mistake and nothing happened. I was so disappointed and contacted with Andrew. Only one day after Andrew sent email to Rich the problem has been solved by Rich's man. Thanks God I have Andrew's services. Otherwise I can only do it by myself or sue Rich for the lost of the deposit. That will be also big trouble for me. "I called Garcia's Gardening Service and spoke with Martin Garcia. I explained that I would like to have some landscaping done to my backyard as I have 3 dogs (2 Labrador Retriever puppies and one 4 year old Lab) and that I needed a pet friendly backyard that will also look nice. He came by the next day and we went over my idea's for my backyard. My priority was needing the side of my house turned into a dog run, so that when the dogs are not in my house, they have a safe place to stay and to use for a potty area. I explained that without a dog run, the backyard landscaping could not be accomplished.He measured all areas and gave me a quote for the services needed. These were trimming and lacing back one tree 25' tall, removal of 3/4 size gravel from side of house and disposing of it and installing 2 yards of pea gravel creating a dog run. Extend drainage from dog run another 20 feet , install wire mesh on 3 drainage grates to keep dogs from damaging them. Martin suggested replacing old, leaking irrigation valves in front lawn and upgrading the indoor timer from 6 stations to 9 stations to cover all areas of irrigation in backyard. I concurred with that. I also needed 3 medium sized shrubs removed from my old damaged rear planter. He suggested that I have them install a 3/4 size valve for the garden area in the back and to change old sprinklers for the lawn and planter areas. I agreed. <br /> Because of the rainy season, the work was completed by December 30 and I did not have a problem with that. I also asked Mr. Garcia for a quote to build a new planter by rear lawn including removing old planter and constructing a new one 60 feet long by 2 feet high. He did this around the second or third week of December, completing it by Christmas. He also extended the planter sprinkler line another 25 feet. I will have him fill the planter and plant shrubs in Spring when there are more plant choices. Two of the sprinkler heads in the planter do not work, but he said that he would fix it when he comes back to complete my landscaping. I trust him as he has done an excellent job so far. He has been very friendly and thorough. He checked on his workers at least once or twice during the days they were here, even doing the work himself. We were communicating throughout the process. And he was patient with my dogs needing to be let out to the dog run to potty throughout the days of working, and he was accommodating with the changes that I had made throughout the process. <br /> In November,he also quoted me for removal of old grass and also to grade and level my backyard and to install St. Augustine plugs, including mulch, fertilizer and labor, but as time went on, in December, we decided to ask for a quote for St. Augustine sod as we were going into the winter season, and I thought it best to wait until spring when St. Augustine sod isn't dormant and would take much easier than the plugs.He emailed me this quote. This we will have them do in the spring along with placing shrubs and plants in the planter area. <br /> He also removed my old fence and irrigation from my garden and did not charge me for it, and he also removed some and quot;junkand quot; and hauled it away. That's going beyond service. They are very hard workers. <br /> Although I still need my lawn graded, and sod, plants, mulch,etc. installed in the spring (my decision), I will be happy to have Martin Garcia and crew do this work for me. <br />"
