"Summary: the job went exceptionally well, and we will likely be hiring Gwyny/Bottoms Up again. I'm sheepish about publishing this report more than a year late, but I hope it helps inform other potential customers.
Gwyny and her team were by far the most approachable and professional of the five separate contractors interviewed for these jobs. Her consultation was eager, friendly, and upfront; she also provided a lot of useful insight and ready answers to questions. The crew she brought to the house consisted of her, a foreperson, and the rest of the crew (perhaps ~4 total crew). During the first visit, Gwyny was on-site much of the time, also providing physical labor alongside the crew; she left the work in the hands of the foreperson, which was fine. Her crew communicated with us clearly and often - we also left the house for a short time, and they worked perfectly well on their own. The crew also worked independently, in parallel, on separate parts of the job. The tree removal was a worrisome point for us, but her explanations and the crew's ability made it very simple, with no incidents or threat of danger to property or person. Her line-item price for tree removal was incidentally the lowest of the lot we interviewed, although her overall price was not; the total quote was about middle-of-the-road. There were no surprises during the job, and the work order and process went exactly as quoted.
During the second visit, the crew was run by the irrigation expert, and Gwyny did not work on-site. However, the process was just as smooth and professional as the first visit. It is significant to note that the plantings are all successful more than a year on, and the irrigation works as planned. I've only made small changes to the emitters to alter the flowrate/water delivery based on personal preference.
We plan to have Gwyny back to help us plant fruit trees on the property. She calls herself the "Outdoor Cleaning Lady", and this was certainly true (our property was put in a pristine state) but she's also much more. Find some time in her schedule and hire her!

"Our new home is at the end of a cup-de-sac so therefore we have a very large pie-shaped yard with lots of sprinklers.  We had some areas of the lawn that were absolutely muddy and other areas where the grass was dead.  Richard came in and did a complete overhaul fixing broken lines, adding sprinkler heads and replacing all the sprinkler heads to achieve the proper application of water to the appropriate areas.  He added drip lines in planters, lines to potted plants, diverted water away from the house and also some fences that were being damaged by water.  He also raised three drains in the lawn that had sunk so low they were ineffective.  He went through every planter, including the one behind the pool and fixed everything. The drainage lines were also flushed out and are working beautifully.  He was very knowledgeable and efficient about what was needed to make the system work again.  We were, quite honestly, worried about having to start from scratch and replace everything but Richard told us that our system was fundamentally sound but had been neglected, had the wrong sprinkler heads everywhere and also needed a few more added to be optimal.  He explained every area of repair and why he was doing that particular repair.  They were on time, efficient and cleaned everything up after they were done.  I am so happy with their work and very relieved to not have to purchase a new system.  Definitely will call for all my sprinkler needs.

The crew arrived within the stated "window".  The three man crew set to work in a completely safe and professional manner.
As the project was nearing completeion, I received a messge that I was needed elsewhere.  I told the crew leader that I had to leave.
I gave him a check for payment, and asked that he make sure the area was cleaned up before they left.  Especially the neighbor's yard.
I returned a short time later to fine the crew gone, the tree looking absolutely beautiful and both lawns cleaned up to perfection.
