"This job was to renovate my home in preparation to sell it in early March. It consisted of a kitchen and 3 bathroom upgrade, flooring and lighting fixture replacement, painting and removal of 3 popcorn ceilings. Beginning the second week of January, the entire job was completed within 6 weeks. When first hired, the principal of Palm Construction carefully tuned in to my specific needs and targeted timeframe, offering succinct suggestions respects colors, style and quality of products used. Specialists in each trade worked cohesively with each other, as well as alongside other contractors that I had personally hired separately for windows and pool replaster. Although I had intended to live in the property during the renovation, I quickly realized that my occupancy was impeding progress, so I made the decision to vacate the premises. This was especially important during the removal of popcorn ceilings which contained asbestos. The work moved seamlessly from the removal of kitchen counters, sink, cabinet doors, appliances and flooring to the demolition of 3 bathrooms. Timely mutual decisions were made about fixtures, mirrors, flooring, sinks, vanities, paint and hardware, allowing the job to progress steadily to reach very precise goals. Along the way, it was determined that the air ducts needed replacing and AC would be a welcome addition to the total job. These issues were discussed and explained clearly and quoted at a reasonable cost - so I decided to add the change orders. Although I had never been involved with a home renovation in the past, I was very impressed with the patience and care taken to communicate with me throughout the entire job. I was a demanding customer with an expectation of perfectionism and Palm Construction was up for the challenge. Beyond the scope of the original job, Palm went above and beyond with finishing touches and little extras here and there. They've come back to help me even after completion of the job, when I needed some additional retrofits for my appliance installation, which was not even part of the original job. I know that I can count on Palm Construction to be responsive and willing for anything that may come up in the future. I learned that they are a GC that you can totally trust and rely on. In summary, I am in awe of the completed work. My friends and neighbors are astonished with the transformation of my home. The end product is flawless and most impressive. My realtor has already offered Palm Construction opportunities for other jobs. My neighbors have asked for their contact information to get quotes. I highly recommend Palm Construction for your renovation work, whether it is a large or small job. During the 6 weeks of this job, I got to know the principal, Guy Yaakov, and his team. Despite the complexities of the job and the incidental issues that came up, the personal follow-through and attention paid to all questions and requests were taken care of expeditiously and professionally. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Replaced the thermostat. Our old one had issues and became difficult to program. (Very inconsistent.) I bought a new upgraded one (supposedly easier to program) for $55. Porch installed it relatively quickly and did a good job. Very personable. The installation cost for roughly an hours work was $178."
