"Abbey Carpet & Floor installed wood floors and carpet - amazing work! The installers were very friendly and made sure they took great care of the materials being installed. Ravi was also very nice - great customer service every time I went there. They made suggestions and got me what I needed to match the decor of each room. Their theater room flooring selection was perfect!"

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Awesome experience. Lance helped us, without being pushy AT ALL, to find the right carpet and pad. He made recommendations and was fair and honest in doing so. When it came time to finalize price, Lance worked with me to get where we needed it to be. The installers, who work specifically for CD's, which I think is important, were also fantastic. They did run late, but they communicated very well and worked late and over the weekend to get it done. You can't see any seams, and the quality of the job was fantastic. Very professional and courteous. Can't recommend highly enough."

"8/16/2014 - scheduled measurements - no one was at the desk or responded to the call button.  Flagged down a manager and it took him over 10 minutes to get an associate to help <br /> 8/26 - man came to measure rooms, told us we could order carpet next day <br /> 8/27 - tried to order carpet - store said they could not order it yet, the measurements were not worked up yet <br /> 8/29 - tried to order carpet - store was dis-organized and made several phone calls to find out if we could order it yet.  The answer was yes.  It took over an hour to order the carpet.  We were told it would be in around 9/5. <br /> 9/6 - stopped in to see if carpet had arrived.  Was told it would not be there until 9/15. <br /> 9/11 - received the call the carpet was in.  Scheduled install <br /> 9/16 - Installer arrived at 9am.  He did a good job, but was there until 7pm.  10 hours to install carpet in 3 bedrooms.  I thought it was quite excessive. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The company helped me pick the right color of carpet to go with the tile we had used throughout the house. I love the way the colors blend together. On a couple of occasions I had to wait for a call back, it came the same day but I was anxious to get the installation done so I guess I was impatient. We ordered the carpet and then had to wait 7 days for the carpet to come in but then they set a date for installation in 4 days. We are very happy with their work."

"In order to prepare our entire upstairs and upstairs closets for carpet installation, my husband and I worked for 4 days packing books, lamps, items from shelves, desktops, floor, etc.  We were told that the installers would move all of the furniture and would break down beds. <br /> On the day of the installation, I was called by the installation manager who had been called by our installers and was told that the beds had to be broken down.  He said that the sales rep (who was very nice and professional) had misinformed me and that I must break the beds down myself.  I am a small woman over 60 years old (my husband was at work).  There were 3 young men present to install the carpet.  I had to break down a queen-size bed and a full-size bed by myself.  Thankfully, the young men agreed to break down our grandchildren's bunk beds.  <br /> I was pleased with the final result.  The carpet looks very nice, and the installers did a good job.  In the end, they were helpful. <br /> But...I will not use this company again.  The customer service from the installation manager was poor and unprofessional.  <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Osceola, AR

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
