"Alex first came over to see a small piece that had cracked off our concrete steps, he said of course he could fix it, but then the real fun began and we dreamt big and reimagined the hardscape in our front yard. what was finished yesterday became a masterpiece of bluestone steps with veneer trim, paver walkway with belgian block, a new rebuilt retaining wall,, a sweeping natural stone wall with steps and a circular enclosure around the base of a centerpiece japanese maple. Alex, the original Alex (his Dad) and the rest of the dedicated crew couldn't have been more skilled, polite and cleaned up after themselves completely. The vision of the job changed a few times with suggestions from Alex, Us and others.. will definitely be having them back for more work soon"

"A beautiful job for a reasonable and fair price. For every part of the job, the crew came early in the morning and on time. The boss, Luis, always reported to the job site each day and inspected the work. Every part of these jobs was completed the way we had discussed, and, in fact, extra work was often done without any extra charge. For example, when the men dug out the soil around the cellar stair walls, Luis felt they had to go all the way down to the bottom--about six feet, instead of the 3 or 4 feet he had estimated, due to the poor condition of the walls--no extra charge. He did the same when he didn't like how the blacktop looked doing just the driveway in front of the garage and proceeded to redo the driveway perpendicular to it next to my fence--again, no extra charge. The same care for doing the job the right way was seen with the garage floor--instead of just repairing a length long crack on one side, Luis felt the entire section to the wall had to be removed and redone--again no extra charge.When I felt a detail wasn't carried out the right way, Luis listened and took care of it without any problem. The quality of their work is outstanding: for example, the seam of the garage cement floor met the new blacktop at the garage door perfectly. "I can't say enough about Hector and his team. It was a big project involving tearing out an old rotting wooden retaining wall and installing one with interlocking blocks -- a LOT of blocks along a very long stretch, multiple levels, and in a place that machinery could not easily reach. I put it out for multiple bids, and some people just make up (higher) numbers. Hector's bid was very competitive, maybe even the lowest, and he did more work than anyone else was proposing to do. In particular, an additional design element that he proposed (he was the only one I talked to who took the time to find out what I liked and didn't like and made a creative suggestion for something new, rather than just replacing what the old one looked like). And then the team was all super professional and friendly, took the time needed to do the job right and it was a lot of very hard work. We've been getting a lot of compliments on the results. Would hire these guys again in a heartbeat."
