I saw the Angie's List deal for a full day of tree work for $1299. We had 4 trees to remove and 1 Oak to lift. I purchased the deal and within a few hours, Wally had contacted me through the Angie's List message service. We set up a time for him to come out and view the trees and property. He explained the stump grinding was not included and would cost an additional $300 the day of the service. Overall, for the amount of work involved, we thought the total price was fair.

After Wally previewed the site, we settled on a date for him to come out with his crew and complete the work. Once they arrived, they began working immediately. While we live on a large piece of property, two of the trees were between the house and a fence, and another tree was close to the house. The crew took care not to damage any of the surrounding plants, shrubs, fence, gardens, etc. We asked for the mulch to be left on the property and they were pleased to do it. They hauled off the remaining larger pieces.

I do have other tree work that needs to be done and plan on calling them when it is time. I am very pleased with their service.

They brought specialized equipment which was needed for the job and safely removed the trees. They also ground several stumps, cleaned up after themselves and left my yard in great shape ahead of hurricane season. "INITIAL REVIEW: Scheduled for Monday or Tues (they wouldn't commit to a specific day - said they would call the morning of service). By Tues afternoon I had received no call, so I called them. Admitted they had dropped the ball, said they would be here by Friday "at the latest." By Friday afternoon, no show, no call. So I called them again. More excuses, said they'd be here Monday or Tues. By Tues (today), 2:00 PM, no show, no call, so I called them yet again. Said I was "on the schedule for the afternoon." Now 5:00 PM Tues, no show, no call. It has been dry here for the last 3 hours, but now the rain has now moved in, so they won't be here today, either, I'm sure. They apparently fully schedule every afternoon, even though there is normally some afternoon rain, nearly every day at this time of year in NE Florida. Even after multiple no shows, they still wouldn't commit to when they will come, wouldn't schedule me for the morning when the chances of rain are low. I have wasted SEVEN DAYS waiting for them. They never call, they just don't show up. They would never say they'd be here, only that I was "on the schedule." But apparently the schedule doesn't mean anything. I'm going to have to cancel the job and find someone else. Unless you are willing to wait forever until they maybe show up, don't hire these guys. Perhaps they do great work, but they seem unconcerned about wasting the customer's time... only their own. UPDATE: After seeing my review, the owner contacted me, apologized, indicated some problems with new employees, and asked what he could do to make things right. I told him: show up when you say you're going to and do a good job. He said he would make that happen and gave me a substantial discount on the price. The crew came today... I'm satisfied with their work and the owner called before they left to make sure I was okay with the job they did. I won't give a top rating because of all the problems, but the owner really stepped up and obviously cares about his company's reputation. So I'm assuming that mine was an unusual case, perhaps caused by one errant employee. So, I'm upgrading my ratings.:"
