"We engaged Laffey Concrete for our home addition project after soliciting quotes from four different concrete companies. We ultimately chose Laffey Concrete because Travis struck us as a genuinely friendly and trustworthy individual. Although their estimate was not the lowestâ  landing in the middle rangeâ  Travis's demeanor left a positive impression on us. The initial phase involved laying the foundation, which they completed satisfactorily and passed inspection. However, once the concrete cured, we noticed that one side was uneven. Travis explained that they had "forgotten the level," but they managed to rectify the issue using epoxy filler. Additionally, we discovered that one of the workers had stepped into the slurry coat multiple times before it had set, leaving unsightly shoe prints throughout the crawlspace. Moving on to the second phase, which included the patio and concrete steps, we placed our trust in Laffey Concrete's claimed "expertise." Unfortunately, we were met with disappointment. After the completion of the patio and steps, we quickly observed that the steps were uneven, poorly finished, and marred by pockmarks and indentations, with the corners left unrefined. After the first rainfall, we were dismayed to find water pooling on the patio right in front of the steps. When I sent a photo to express my concerns, Travis assured me that the water would dissipate and that the area would eventually drain, but it never improved. After following up, he finally agreed to come by and assess the situation. He acknowledged that the pitch was incorrect and promised to fix it, which required tearing out about a third of the patio to achieve the proper slope. I often wondered why this issue wasn't addressed from the outset. Both my wife and I reached out to Travis multiple times regarding the condition of the steps. His responses were sporadic, filled with excuses about delays and reasons for not addressing the issues promptly, yet the subpar quality of the steps remained unresolved. Since then, several other concrete companies have evaluated Laffey Concrete's work and expressed disbelief at the quality we received."

"I needed six new windows and a storm door replaced...and all were long overdue projects. I got three estimates. Tom from Capa was the third (and the quote was in the middle of the three), but I felt WAY better about dealing with him than anyone else. Tom did not try to upsell me into an expensive brand. One company insisted I have entirely new windows....no inserts. Tom did not agree. Tom told me that "we'll take care of you" and was as good as his word. The company is honest and works hard to please you. On installation day, three men arrived and installed all 6 windows and the storm door in one day. "We had a drain tile installed six years ago and I've since learned that they installed improper sheeting. I would go with another business, but if you do go with crack attack, make sure you get dimpled sheeting (what they installed is water proof, which is most important, but industry standard, as I understand it, is to install dimpled sheeting, which can funnel water, in addition to repel it, sending it down to the drain tile. What they installed is sub optimal (and impossible to correct). Many plumbers have confirmed that this aspect of our drain tile was improperly installed. It doesn't feel good to spend $10 on a job and later learn that it was not done properly. When I first heard about this I reached out to Tim looking for reassurance and he never responded. I think he is not responding because the situation basically can't be remediated, and to take responsibility would be hard to do for that reason. "
