"I would never use him again. He says he has done this for so many years. Because I didn't let him come into my house, he was offended. He was supposed to fix the roof, not come in. I was just getting home. I thought he was going to go ahead and tell me what he had to do. But he wanted me to contract to do more work. I said, "Well, why don't you just go ahead and do the things that I paid for?" He said to me, "I'm not afraid to get up on the roof." "That's what I paid for. You're the roofer." I was outside, working. That was another problem. So I didn't come back in the house. I went around the front of my yard. He went up the ladder. I think I was on my knees and before I came back he was gone. So I don't know what he did up there. That was kind of upsetting. One good thing about the roofer that did the roof this time was, he stood in the yard, backed up in the yard and said, "Don't you know the shingles are missing right here?" Why didn't the other gentleman tell me that? So I wouldn't use him. I just don't trust him. He was friendly, just pushy. The price was great. But did I get what I wanted? I don't know. I don't think so. You can't work like that in five minutes. I told him to come at a certain time because I would be gone and he came before I got here. I would tell a friend that you have to sort of know what price it should be because for what he said needed to be done, he charged more for them than they really cost."

"Mack arrived right on time for the appointment to give me an estimate. He was the only roofing contractor (out of seven) who would give me a warranty for the repair. Mack suggested replacing the whole roof around the dormer rather than just the valleys. The other quotes were more expensive and they were for replacing the roofing in the valleys only and the work would not be warrantied. On the day the work was set to begin Mack and his crew arrived on time and went immediately to work. They did a complete tear off of the existing roofing material and in doing so Mack was able to discover the root cause of my leak. The previous roofers had installed some step flashing incorrectly. Mack also discovered that even though there was a ridge vent cap installed there was no opening at the ridge vent. Mack fixed this be cutting an opening at the ridge with no additional expense to me. Mack and his crew did a great job. They fixed my roof, cleaned up after the work was done and they were a pleasure to work with. Mack took pictures of the project along they way that he shared with me after he was done and that was really great."

"Called because the box vents on the above the kitchen sun room (room off kitchen with a vaulted ceiling a separate roof) would leak when strong winds and rain occurred. I called to have them removed since they never served any purpose in venting that roof. They also inspected the rest of the roof and recommended that one vent pipes was in need of repair, and some of the ridge vents were starting to pull up (the nails were rusting). They suggested a better vent system using shingles covering the vent to protect it. Work done quickly and professionally. Shingles matched very well to existing ones.
