"They turned out absolutely beautiful!!! I love working with him and he’s the only one I would hire. He does what he says he’s going to do and he treats your home like his home. You won’t be disappointed if you hire him."

".We had used Gardner's several times prior to this job so were familiar with their products and work. They had installed the same vinyl tile in another area in our house a couple of years ago so we knew what we wanted and just arranged with Jean to come out and measure the area and then order the tile. A couple of weeks later, the tile was in and the date and time for installation was arranged. <br /> The installer, Josh, showed up on time; answered all of our questions; worked hard the entire time; and finished both bathrooms in about 5 hours of work time (and he was even able to take care of a squeaky floor board issue in one area)! <br /> We are very satisfied with look of the new tile and the professional installation! <br /> Everyone that we have ever dealt with at Gardner's has always been courteous, friendly, and professional and we have always been more than satisfied with the quality of their products and installation. I think their prices tend to run higher than the competition but they certainly do quality work. And after having some carpeting installed by another company (with lower prices) a few years ago that we have not been so satisfied with, we have had Gardner's do our last couple of jobs and have not regretted it. <br /> We will certainly use them again and recommend them highly! <br />"

"<p>Passow Remodeling has been wonderful to work with during our bath remodel. Ryan Passow and his craftsmen are conscientious, courteous, and very talented. We appreciated the phone calls to affirm their arrival, who would be coming, and what they would do each day. Brian and Teddy solved our problems with a wavy floor and bowed walls to lay our plank tiles precisely and perfectly. John hung doors and Tom and Brian made sure everything was exactly level and correct. Our home is almost forty years old, so things have settled and twisted. It’s a lot bigger job with more tweaking to get tiles, doors, etc. to work.</p> <p>They were also so kind to our Project Supervisor, all 13 lbs. of her dog-self.</p> <p>I would definitely recommend Passow Remodeling for any job: big or small. Their trucks brag that they provide worry-free remodeling; and, it’s true!</p>"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Overbrook, KS

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
